Only if you are going for more than 30 minutes. Otherwise water is fine.

No one has yet done a measured test showing the decrease in induction air temp.

The built in sprayer was used.

To my knowledge no one has posted air temps past the IC with and without spraying.

I use mine all the time. More out of force of habit than anything.

I use a big handheld water sprayer for autox.

That is a long ass diy list! I would rather have a bunch of people gather at someones house here in SoCal and do it as a group (for those of you who are in SoCal obviously) What do you think?

me and a couple friends go canyon running on sundays and i usually go through a whole tank because i spray every three to four minutes since its usually 90-100 degrees in the area.

How long have you been 1 bottle of alcohol w/ each intercooler tank? And how big is your alcohol bottle?

I just found some mold in mine and spent some time rinsing and cleaning it out. Had to use a bulb and pipette and suck the mold out.
