its the wastegate....my friend had a tial wastegate on his evo going back into downpipe...sounds great...

Flutter during acceleration is the wastegate. Flutter during decel is compressor surge. Compressor surge is bad. Your turbo will die a horrible, hideous, untimely death. End of lesson.

they key you said was ON throotle., he was off, therefore it can only be two things......off throttle waste gate flutter, Or surge, ill vote surge...

i see a lot of high hp cars have that flutter after letting off, it's always bad?...i hear it on a lot of cars...fill me in man

i think it sounded more like off throttle waste gate flutter...but i don't know a lot about trebos LOL

what does surge sound like??

sounds like wastegate to me. it happened right when he got off the throttle and thats when the ewg does its business.

you can hear the flutter when he changes gears at about 7 sec into the video. And at that point, he's not really boosting much - so its not like the blow off valve he's running isn't being overloaded at that point. I think the BOV is designed sound "fluttery"

Seems like a FMIC + BOV will do this on a lot of cars...

Especially if it's a big turbo.

I personally love the sound

I've read that it's almost like an echoing within the pipes of the FMIC.
