They were cool gave them the plate, good discription of Mr. ass, direction of travel and a statment (clearly indicating that I would press charges.) The best part about it was that this guy was a regular with them, they knew him from stuff like this he pulled in the past. Anyway cops call me later that night 1 Under, Felony criminal mis. DA's office didnt want to give the kid state time. He ended up with probation and having to pay me for the damage caused when he threw the 1 1/2 inch rusted bolt at my car..... So it didnt work out the way I really wanted it to (damage my property go to jail) but I guess im happy that I can fix the damage at least.
Sorry to hear about your story, at least you were able to get some closure. It seems that a lot of people on this forum have had similar problems with people being upset for some reason or another and wanting to damage our property. It seems like people who can't afford it or don't like it for some reason do want you to be able to enjoy it since you are able to afford it. From what I have seen and experienced it is mostly people with the ideology that American cars are so far superior and you are a "communist" or something for not buying an American car. Fords slogan a few years ago was "If we build it they will buy it", not having any concern for what people really wanted they just wanted to make money; thats if you want to look at that quote just from the surface. I had to vent a little bit there are many American cars that I do like and not all American car makers have that attitude, that is just the way it seems to me.

Seriously man, if I were you I'd press charges. Sure, not everyone may like the STi's "ricer" looks, but if you ever feel the need to tone it down just because some small ****, ***hole feels the need to express his hatred of your car in a dangerous manner, then something is wrong at the most basic levels. It's good that no one was hurt, but if anything, you should be pressing charges to protect your's and other and other people's basic freedoms.

Thanks. Actually this was when I had my 2.5 RS (The STI is my 4th Subaru I had a 03 WRX (dont ask what happened ) A 03 2.5 RS, an 05 WRX and now my STI.) I dont think Mr. Ass had a problem with my car, He was just a real psyco. Here is this guy screaming his head off and jumping all over his seat. Oh well he didnt do time, which I was upset with but he has to fork over $700. Most people dont seem to mind imports around here, except the guys in GTO's? Whats up with those guys dont they know there cars are from the land of OZ Both this car and my motorcycle seem to have a big sign on them saying "Touch me." Two things 1: If its not mine I dont touch it and 2: "Drive in a manner that other people around you never have to use thier brakes because of you." Keep us posted....

I was coming back from shooting in Zainesville on Saturday, this is rural country type area. I was driving along with three of my friends in the car. We went to a NRA range and couple of my friends are members so we are able to get to some exclusive ranges out in the sticks. Anyway I see this F-250 flying up on me. I am going about 85 and in the fast lane of a four lane road, two lanes on one side going east and two lanes going west. He pulles right up next to me a flips me off. I think that he is just joking around so I down shift and as the revs of the engine increase the driver of the truck does not just inch into my lane he tries to ram into the side of me to force me off the road. I was so shocked by his actions, this was the last thing that I expected. As he is making an agressive move obviously to try to damage my car I am able to keep the car under control half on the berm and half in the grassy median, slow down and get back on the road. This guy proceeds to blast up the highway, so I just let him go. I did not want to cause any more trouble or put anyone else in danger. I was so pissed, but relieved that no one was hurt. We stopped to check if there was any damage to the car and luckly there was none. It was also kind of lucky that there was no traffic so no one else was put in danger.

In light of these action I am going to the WRX spoiler and possibly the WRX hood scoop. After all the 06 has the smaller scoop with out performance being hurt. Just thought I would share, this is the worst thing that someone has attempted to do to me in my STi and I will be damned if I can't do something to prevent this from happening again. I am going to try to see if someone local wants a trade for the trunk and wing. Perhaps this will help lessen the "boy racer"/honda ricer image that the STi tends to project to those that just don't know. I wish that people were not so judgemental on the appearence of the STi, I would prefer to keep the car the way that it is.
Get yourself a little NRA sticker on your rear window, and then see if it happens again. I feel ya, it's better not to engage. But if someone does something I feel is really dangerous to me,and is unwarranted i'll snap.......people think because I have a "nice car" im not going to do something crazy and dumb........goes to show you.............I consider myself pretty level headed and a friendly driver.......but do something on purpose that is arrogant and really dangerous.....

Here is a great story tho;
I'm in the second to right lane of a 5 laner all 1 direction........freeway is about to split the right 2 lanes...........this girl cuts me off (as im switching into right lane)on purpose going 15mph less than me (not even doing 65) and i have to slam brakes etc..........so i flip her off......and her boyfriend flips me off............well it ends me next to them holding both my arms out the window with no hand on the wheel giving a dual flip off.........they are going to exit now and i'm just holding it the whole time.......and so is this guy (holding both his arms out the window as well with the dual fingers).........when we get close right before the exit we both started laughing our asses off........i think because we realized how incredibly dumb and assholish we were being to each other.
