Default Help a Newb Fellow owners!

Okay, First of all i guess i should have introduced myself in the noob section. My name is Tyler and Im a broke ass college student from Minnesota. I started out with a B6 A4 and tuned it up pretty good, but all while I was on my parents bank. This last summer, before I started school, I was just toolin around and looking at modded WRXs in the area and i got pretty serious about one. Eventually my dad convinced me it was a bad idea because of the lack of warranty. So he brought up the fact about STis. At first I was in disbelief because at the dealer even used they were upwards of 29k. But anyways we figured it out and I bought an 04 wrb. Somehow i got the loan on my name only having no previous credit . Anyways I love it so far and I dont think there is anything i would change.

So far i like this site more than Nasioc and i have been over there for a while. But anywayt to the point.

I work full time and pay for 75% of everything to do with my car not including gas which i pay for in full. I make enough and have money left over to live comfortable as a student (beer, liquor, other essentials) I recently got a credit card so I wuoldnt have to blow my cash savings on parts and what not but I still want to keep a relatively low balance. Sooooo, so far i have a BOV that i fabbed to fit from my audi, and i cleared the headlights, debadged and removed the silencer. Im sure everyone here is sick of these threads and have read too many to remember but I hope you guys will help out. But I have a list of a few things that i want an can afford one or two at a time. But the problem is I dont know what order i should take. So if you could take my poll and then list the order you would take and maybe which brand I should get that would be awsome.

I look forward to being a part of this site, it seems great
Thanks

Ps: I realize the exhaust and downpipe could void warranty, but Im willing to put in the revert to stock time if i have to take it in for something.

I guess Il post this same thing on nasioc to, they get more traffic

Cobb acessport - $645
Then you have the choice of running Stage 1 or Stage 2.
For stage 2 you need a turboback exhaust.

keep the car stock and enjoy it! i'm also a student and could do these mods if i so please but i don't think it's worth it to blow all my money on the car. so far i've just put a boost gauge, k&n short ram and tinted my windows. i will most likely be putting an exhaust during the summer but thats pretty much about it. the car is a beast stock so save your money.

Who cares what anyone else thinks. Figure out what you like more, whether it be exterior looks, performance, etc. For me it goes performance first, then probably suspension, then exterior looks. Of course I got tint and springs, but if I had to do anything first it would be intake, exhaust, fuel pump, and custom tune.

Missing from list:
  • driving school
  • suspension stuff
  • brake stuff
I think "polls" like this are lame, btw. Read, read, read, and think for yourself. The answers you get by doing that will be the right answers for you.

All that stuff can wait. Check out the GB for TiC products. Not as good as fuzzy dice, but then what is??

Wow..you took a little bit of a beating for that post.

Go with the Accessport no question...get stage 2 then get some sways or something. Thats my .02, but everyone has different priorities.

If I were you, Id check the members journals to see what order other people went in and how they felt about it. It really depends what you want out of the car, but if you're a poor college student planning on using your new CC, I'd just leave it stock. The performance you get from the mods is going to be used 10% of the time and even stock you can still be cooler than your friends!

Anyway, if you still want to mod, check out the members journals. You'll find out all the problems people are having and all the best parts to use for certain results desired.

Someone beat me to these. I would focus on these . . . and the order of them isn't bad, either.
