| Senior STI Driver | So I had my STI up in the air today installing the TIC short thow kit, thought I'd take some pictures that aren't so common. Feel free to use any of these for documentation to point out a certain part or something if you have an issue and just need a quick visual for someone else on the forum. -Lance This ad is not endorsed by this member. | STI Driver | Nice lift -- your house? Thanks for posting. I love the clean lines of the new front end. Can't really detect any major differences underneath from my '05. Not much new with the suspension bits, right? |

I have no idea if any of the suspension got changed. I'd bet the rear strut issue that was on the early 04s was fixed long ago. As for anything else, ???? Quote:

| Silver Member | I doubt anybody has any real 'data', but it looks like Subaru included the exact same one on the 2006 rally car. So, one might assume that it really does provide some advantage...? I'm no aerodynamic expert, and I like how it looks, but I've always assumed that it's either too small, or too flimsy to actually provide any significant downforce. Most diffuser's i've seen on real race cars have: 1. much steeper angles 2. much longer and taller fins 3. span the width of the car 4. heavier bracing to apply the force to the chassis 5. are lower to the ground As high as the stock STi sits, I can't imagine the diffuser having much effect on the airflow under the car. It sounds reasonable when you are like me and know nothing about aerodynamics anyway. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. | |
