No mods.

I have no plans on spending money for mods, if i'm going to spend money it's going to be on performance driving schools.

I was wondering for all you that are 17-22. How are you paying for your STi's (including the 2006 models). What are your jobs, who is helping, are you paying it off alone, lease, loan? Just curious, because I am 18, and I am bussing ass for my damn 00 Eclipse which I want to get rid of n make way for that STi.

31, 04 STi owned since new, 2 years now.
On a budget and enjoying turning my own wrenches:
Street Tuner
Godspeed dp
Autometer EGT
LC-1 WB
Walbro
Perrin 816cc modded stockers
2.4" IWG FP Green (not installed)
basic tunes - I'm not into car audio, but there's no stock tunes in the 04's
various KB/TiC bushings
no appearance mods

After reading some encouraging results, I am leaning toward picking up an ebay TMIC, installing and tuning for that before installing the Green this summer. That should do for another two years.

34 years old here. 10 years ago I'd have modified the living crap out of this car like I have with past performance cars I've owned. Just a cobb AP for me now, primarily used for my moments when I want that extra kick (performance fuel maps), future plans when it goes in for service (valet mode), and economy mode for my long distance highway traveling (can't really notice anything but maybe it gives me 1mpg or so), and antitheft mode (when I'm traveling for a weekend trip in my S2000 and STI is left unattended. No future plans to go any further unless this becomes a fun car one day (very doubtful because it's a sedan, not a sports car.. Right now it's purpose is to get me to work year round, and have fun doing so. Not all of us buy this car as a fun machine to race and modify, but the AP to me is a MUST HAVE.

BTW, the S2000 could be seeing a S/C kit with intake exhaust in a year or two if I decide to keep it. Then my fun car will be faster then my daily.

Im 22 and my parents bought my first two cars: 84 mazda b2000 sundowner ,88 mazda b2200 short bed

I've been saving for my STi since 03' doing valet parking and other little things on the side. However, my dad doesnt help me with the STi at all! The only thing he will pay for is some musical equipment for my band.

or you could join the military so that you get a good salary and save up some money, then you need to make sure you keep your credit good so that by the time you're 22 you will be able to get a good interest rate. Thats what I did.

EDIT: Joining the military to be able to buy a car is a bad idea. If you were planning on joining the military anyway, a new car is a nice perk.
