IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2007 | Ive always been a domestic guy and pretty much still am . The only foreighn car to ever appeal to me was the WRX/STi for whatever reason I dont know it just does . So I made the decesion to buy the STi and I dont regret it one bit . If I want a 1000 hp capable car Im sure as hell not buying a EVO, that is mustang country right there . |

| Grassroots STI Racer Feedback Score: 0 reviews | If i could chose again i would go for new 07 STI over an EVO or any other STI models but since i couldnt chose which model i can buy i bought 08 STI beacuse that was the only option. I like EVO more in almost every way but EVO is i think 13 000 € more expensive than STI in Serbia so i stayed with STI.So the only reason i didnt buy EVO is price!!! |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2008 | Trying to split the Evo and STi on performance grounds is not even worth it. Sure on most track comparos the Evo is a hair faster, but typically by not even half a second. Subaru is consistently ranked very high on reliability surveys (JD Power/Consumer Reports) while Mitsu is more average. The GD/GR chassis has always had impressive crash test rankings, while the Evo8/9 have been mediocre at best. |

IWSTI Addict since: May 2008 | I actually love both (previous years, not too much of a fan of new models for both companies, tho in recent months the 08 Sti has grown on me a bit) My buddy has an 03 EVO and ive never driven it (rode in it quite a few times) and its really nice. We've raced twice but it was never really serious and always rolling starts. With his mods we are about evenly matched but he has a little better pull in 3rd gear than my STI. However I just got tuned by Agile and have yet to race him since then, so next time im home (this weekend) we'll see . I would have gotten either one, but when i got my reenlistment bonus there was my 05 sitting at a bmw dealership and availability is key to buyin a car If I could've found an 03 to 05 Evo with less than 40,000 miles on it and stock for less than what i paid for my STI i'd be drivin an EVO. However i am glad i got that STI, cuz im the only one whos got one in my collection of friends. +1 on boxer rumble +1 on torque (345 wtq now INSANE!! i thought it would be high 200s) |
