IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2008 | When i was planning on buying a new car, i was already looking to purchase a Evo 9 MR only...didn't even bother to look at sti's. I looked through dealerships after dealerships and private sales, i could not find the right year/color for the price i had. Finally i gave up and looked for an sti which was alot more easier. Overall im am glad i got sti over a evo. But right now i think my sti might be totaled, so if it is im looking at the evo x and new wrx's. |

| Professional STI Driver Feedback Score: 1 reviews | I bought STi over Evo because -Subaru reliability is ranked identical to or right below Honda -Safety and crash ratings -Symmetrical AWD and DCCD lock feature -Stronger transmission -Better worksmanship -Boxer rumble My friend also has 98 RS with 05 STi swap and he went to test drive Evo X and they wouldn't let him. Went there with my car and they still wouldn't let us test drive the damn thing. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2009 | I wanted an STI way before i even thought about the EVO. Before my purchase i asked many people the comparison between the two, 80% of the people said the Evo is the way to go. So i purchased the EvoIX and i have no regrets but Mitsubishi couldve done alot better on the interior and the clutch. Thought about trading my car in for the STI but im just going keep the evo and get the 06 legacy GT. Evo doesnt have that sick *** rumble sound, plus the Subie community is way more chill than Evo peeps |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2006 | Ever since I was fiscally capable of buying a car of this calibur I had looked at the STi. It is a flagship automobile for a company that has been reliable and responsible for years and years. It is quick, has the horizontally opposed rumbly beast of an engine, and now, in 08, it is incredibly adaptable. You can fit a friggin wildebeast in the hatch, or four 6' people in it comfortably. It sleeps, until you let your foot down. (08's at least- less wing n' bling) Strong tranny, long powerband, and draws the attention of those that know. I can't speak to the evo, but it never caught me. The STi is just such a sweet lure... |
