IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2008 | i love evos. but evos do not have the brotherhood or community like what you are involved in right here. Subaru is the only car for me. and they sound waaaayyy sicker than evos |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2004 | I hate Mitsubishi plain and simple and will never buy one of their cars. The evo is a great car and everything but, Subaru as a company is in MUCH MUCH MUCH better shape than Mitsu ever has been. |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2008 | althought those "street" 9 sec evos that some US tuners have pulled off are amazing n all, i highly doubt they hit the "street" that often. call me a skeptic or a hater if u want, but i mean lets be serious here. no one in their right mind is going to pilot a 9 sec car on the streets, especially in Ohio (highest statey patrolled state in US, highest speeding state also). also for those "street" evos to reach 9's takes a decent amount of bank too (not to mention beefed up tranny, drivetrain, etc.) |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2007 | 1. I didn't really like the Evo interior, seemed like you could shake everything apart. 2. I didn't trust Mitsubishi after that whole thing about them not notifying recalls and service notes. 3. My old car was broke so I walked to the Subie dealer, which is four blocks away from my house, and bought the nice shiny black STi on the display ramp. 4. Being that close to the dealer I was affraid I would get egged or picked on with all the WRXs and STIs rolling around. |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2008 | EVo -vs- STi : Xbox 360 -vs- PS3. Who cares one breaks more often then the other. Go with your style. My opinion. EVo = "Too Fast, Too Ferocious," types. Not my style. STi = Subtle, refined, reliable power, and the engine isn't factory blown tuned to compete with the other. The STi is enough to keep my immaturity level satisfactorily on par with my age. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2006 | There are lots of reasons I chose what I did. But, I looked at the crash test video comparing the Lancer to the Impreza. In the Subaru, you can see the crumple zones functioning perfectly. In the Mitsubishi, YOU are the crumple zone. I know the Impreza and Lancer are significantly different than the STi and Evo, but good genes are good genes. Seen enough crashed examples of both cars since to justify my decision. |
