Its been proven that more people that own sti move on to a evo. Then vise versa

I chose mine, cuz I worked at Honda dealer, and some dumbass took 17k for it to trade it in... 2005 with only 42k on the ticker, and all it needed was a set of rubber, and the 50k checkup done:P

52k now and running strong...reliable as hell..only other thing I have to do yet is pads/rotors, but thats any car

I used Consumer Reports in addition to 8 years of general reading and looking at what was driven(Subaru or Mitsubishi) the most here in the U.S. I like them both and the STI is 1st.

Haha since its been proven give me some sources. Most people who buy STi's get more STi's or get higher end cars. I've only seen a few people who have gone to the Evo side. I'm not going to keep buying STi's. I'm probably ganna pick up a BMW 335xi for my next car.

Evo sounds horrible.........
Sources? Check the evo forums many have mention how the evo is a better platform car vs sti. Im not saying the sti is a bad car but its not worth it. check the reviews every time the evo comes out on top. I dont really need to prove a point because its been stated. And of course I would never buy a subaru buttt ugly designs.... Tribeca need I say more?

evo sounds good.

wtf is subaru technosomemememememnuthanger international hahahahha FAIL!!!!

But funny how Im also not buying the evo x. Instead Im going to pick up a m3.

This topic has been beat to death already people choose different cars for different reasons. End of discussion.

I wasn't an expert with either car, but I did see a few comparisons so I knew they were about as close to equal as any 2 cars could be. So I had nothing major against the EVO, it seemed like a great car. But there were just a few things that I liked about the STI that made me go in that direction.

-Symmetrical AWD. I know people will say the EVO's AWD system is just as good, but you can't deny that a symmetrical system is best.
-Didn't see many EVO's for sale. Not that I saw a lot of STI's either, but there just seemed to be more STI's on the market. I'm really picky so I probably wouldn't have found the exact EVO that I wanted.
-Most reviews say the interior in the STI is better. Some people can't get over the blue, but it doesn't bother me.
-2.5L engine instead of 2.0L. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think starting with more displacement is better.

Did they add that? I don't think my seats fold down. I wish they did.

Why not just contribute to the ones already started? Instead of cluttering the forums with crappy threads that help you justify your purchase.

Drove a few Evos and they feel like cardboard boxes with a quick steering rack. I wasn't impressed at all. Honestly, what a piece of ****.

I also have always had a thing for the underdog

The only thing that looks good on the evo is the front. Everything else just looks like a lancer. Mitsubishis designs are definitely worse than Subaru. Look at the egg eclipse or outlander. Horrible looking designs. yes the evo comes out on top but those are all performance based reviews. In none of those tastes done has safety, reliability, and comfort compared. All the things that make the Subaru a better daily driver basically. I like the evo but this is why i didn't buy the evo and you just come in here saying stupid ****.

It's not really a big deal. If you don't like it simply don't post in the thread. I'm not saying they're in the right either but if it is an active discussion and people are willing to discuss this again why complain?
