Default so someone broke into my car today *pics*

Parked my car outside for maybe an hour, and came back outside to notice this.

It happened infront of my house, they stole my brand new valentine one radar detector and $600 birthday cash in the glove compartment that I was just about to deposit in the bank.

My reaction when someone breaks my window

Sorry to see that.

Was your V1 mounted on the windshield or out of sight?

If mounted, was it mounted with the suction cups, the visor clip or another method?

I've been considering a hard-wired setup, but have been worried about theft/vandalism.

It was just mounted with the suction cups and plugged into the cigarette lighter thing. I bought the V1 for my sti which should be done in a week so I decided to use it for now and then this happens.

That's really too bad.

As convenient as the suction cup mount is, it makes the thing a target if you're not careful.

I take mine off the window whenever I leave the car. Of course, I only use the V1 on roadtrips so it's not as onerous as it sounds.

The only hard wire option that I've been somewhat comfortable with is right above the rearview mirror.

Report the SN to Valentine. They'll snag it back for you if someone calls wanting accessories or upgrades.

I never understood why someone would rip off a glove box when all they had to do was open it.

it sucks getting ripped off. the homocidal urges can be overwhelming. anything mechanical can be replaced or repaired but i'd love to get my hands on one of these asswipes

btw, i would have placed this over in general so more people see it.

Dude, that sucks. I'd love to get my hands on the idiot that did that, he'd remember my name for the rest of his life.
