Default Waxing/Polish Question...

Hey guys, I just bought some polish today (Nu Finish) and I was wondering what are the steps to waxing/polishing. For example does it go wax first then polish or the other way around? Sorry this is a noob question I just want to get it straight. Thanks!

My car is a lost cause. I'm waiting for a hail storm so I can just get the whole thing re-sprayed.

I use Zymol Japon for my wax when I have time for such trivial things...

I have always heard of Nu finish being pretty good because it has been around awhile but I could be wrong and I don't know much about polish. Has anyone else had this problem? And can I get Meguirs at any local auto store because I would of gotten that, but I did not see it.

There are a million products out there and some of the products mentioned are incredible. I would definitely avoid nu finish though. I personally don't like to spend a lot of money on cleaning products (partially b/c I don't have money haha). So I go with this which all of it is from Autozone except the glass paste:

1) Clean the windows and headlights with ammonia free cleaner and if there are spots left I use One Grand Paste Glass Cleaner (that stuff is incredible for water spots/built on crap)
2) Clean the wheels using Meguiar's Hot Rims Wheel Cleaner and a wheel brush.
3) Wash the car using Meguiar's Gold Class Car Wash Soap and a microfiber sponge and microfiber cloth
4) Use the Mr. Clean Auto Dry thingy to rinse the car and then wipe dry with a microfiber cloth
5) Clean the exhaust tip/muffler with Mother's Billet Metal Polish and microfiber cloth
6) Clay bar the car with Meguiar's Clay Bar kit (comes with two bars and detailer spray and a cloth which is great)
7) Quick wash of the car to get any residue of detailer/clay off
8) Re-dry the car with the Mr. Clean thingy and a microfiber cloth or two
9) Spot treat problem areas with Meguiar's Scratch X
10) Now a polish coat. I use meguiar's polish (I can't remember the name)
11) After polish coat, then I use Meguiar's NXT tech wax (stuff is awesome) for TWO coats of wax. Must do two coats after a clay bar
12) Armor All tire foam on the tires (I do a very light coat)
13) Meguiar's NXT tech protectant on all the black trim on the car

And done!!!

Sorry I rambled, but that's my process and its cost effective b/c Meguiar's is not high end expensive stuff. But I get the best reviews ever. I got pics from UL if you want to see the finished product

If you want the BEST, it's Menzerna and it's available online only.
