Default RadarDetector.net - People who wear suits

I was being semi active on radardetector.net

Being around forums for a while now.

Anyways, I was discussing the Valentine 1 and the Radar detection system called K40.

Before I know it, my account is banned for good. No warnings, nothing just like that.

I searched and searched and didn't see anything about K40.

I emailed the admin and here was the response:

"Legal stuff that we cannot discuss, that is why the ban

Not my decision, decision of people wearing suits"

So there you have it, a site being moderated by people wearing suits.

Enough said.

I happened to be one of the old timers here, so I doubt that would happen.

I was just talking about my preference of a V1 concealed and a seperate LIDAR jammer vs. a complete K40 system.

I was never warned at all.

I can't paste the content of the thread because they deleted it.

Upon further investigation, I realized K40 tried to take legal action against a friend of that site who wanted to test their system, tested and proved that it doesn't work. So now everything is clear.

Anyways, I'm dong with that site.

So basically what you're saying K40 is crap, huh? You'd recommend V1 + LIDAR?

No, I'm saying that's my personal preference, I have no experience with K40.

I'd say V1 concealed and Laser Pro Park or Laser Interceptor would be a pretty damn good setup.

I correspondent with the admin via email and I just don't like his attitude. He punishes people without giving them the benefit of the doubt first or a chance to correct themselves and this kind of behavior isn't inline with my personal values.

How much does a good setup cost? Where can I go to get some good reviews on a "Never gonna catch me" setup? I thought laser was Line of sight and there wasn't anyway around it.

Laser (AKA: LIDAR) is effective at around 1/4 of a mile +/-.......the operator aims at the license plate or the headlights, the beam travels at the speed of light, bounces off the car and goes back through a second receiver to the gun. The gun's onboard computer knows the time it took the beam to travel back and forth and how far it traveled. (Distance) / (Time) = your speed.

The LIDAR operates at 904 nm wavelength @ 33 MHz.

V1 - $400, you can get it used, but it can turn into a hassle if the unit is stolen or outdated.

concealed display kit - $40

Hardwire kit - $40

carry case is another $40.

The jamming systems go from $400 to $1000, depending on the make, model and how many jamming pods you get. Most people run 2 jamming pods in front.

Out the door, I'd say you can get a great system for $1500. It would cover everything, well, except aircraft.

No such thing as a "never gonna catch me", unless u're running a Scorpion which is highly illegal and not available anymore.

That system wasn't proven to work as far as I hear.
