Default 04 sti to 07 sti limited

Alright well i have had my 2004 PSM sti for about 3 years and i have had my eye on the 2007 limited ever since they came out. I have been keeping my eye out for them for a while now and found one private party and liked it alot but it had 42000 miles on it and mine only has 40000 for a 2004 so that was the only downside. Now i have found one at a dealer close by but it also has higher mileage. It has 38000 miles and they want 28,500 for it and will give me 18000 trade in for my car.... so with all the financing and stuff i will be paying for it for a while. The things that i like about the limited are the leather seats, the sunroof, the more refined look.... My 04 sti has been analllly maintained and runs perfect with no issues but for some reason i like the limiteds. Do you guys think that it is worth it to get a limited. Also what does everyone think about an 07 with 37000 miles and the stock tune. Is the motor ****ed on this thing or what. I am just wondering if it has been running lean for such a long period of time.. Let me know what everyone thinks..

Thanks Bryan

I like the limiteds aswell. I would say go for it if thats what you like! I wouldnt worry about the motor, if the cars all stock and something happens, warranty time.

18k to 28k is a big difference..And your 04 only has a little difference in mileage compared to the 07. I say you keep the 04 and put more money into. But thas only what i would do. the 07 limited is very nice but i wouldn't pay 10,000 for something thats very similar.

^^ Totally agree. I'm a huge fan of the limited, but not for an extra 10k for same mileage

good luck

I would not do it. For 10k, you could have a leather interior put into your 04 with some soundproofing and have a very nice sunroof installed. With money left over for, I dunno, a two week vacation.

+2

I can't see the point in that. My limited just hit 7k miles. But I would just either by some nice seats, wrap yours or look for limited ones or s204 ones and buy those. I would be careful with an after-market sun roof though. But I mean u can even do the 07 dash conversion and all that fun stuff. I really dont think that money for that high milage is worth it. If it had something like mine and it w as in the 5-8k mile range I would give you a thumbs up and s ay do it but I wouldn't for that money. I think what you have is your best bet to stick with it, you know the car its your baby and I think you wont regret keeping her. Worst comes to worst u can swap and 07 front end onto a 04 lol and that would still be more money sound then buying the limited for that money.

but to each his own. Good Luck!

to give you an idea. I dont know what ppl were getting priced on limiteds because i know depending on the dealership and the part of the country they were going for different prices. My car had 7 dealer miles on it. Its a UGM limited number 777.

I paid 35K out the door for it (after taxes and everything)

Also:

I got the dealer to do some stuff ( just 3 minor things sorta )

• i bought the car over the phone with a 5min phone call haha

• car wasn't going to be driven till spring and I bought it in Nov. (I garage it during winter months) so i worked a deal with the owner to extend my warrantee 6 months since the car wouldn't even be registered yet.

• I had them through in all weather mats

• lastly they delivered the car via flat bed to my house so it wouldn't have to see the winter/sandy roads.

Might I say I love my dealership, so much we bought a 2nd car from them a few months (again over the phone) latr. (07 Limited RS, were looking at used 06's but because of the summer savings $1k off a new car it was cheaper to buy the new 07' lol and it has tires for life) sick huh! lol

Mind you, with all that said. I am seeing all the pricing your getting as not worth it.
