Oh christ. Here we go again. If you want a uniqe car that's hard to find I say buy the ESX. If you think the ESX is a car that's fast and comes with good mods, you're sorely mistaken. Like most will say if you just want to mod a STi buy what ever one you want and spend you own $$. The ESX isn't worth the time of day.

And what's wrong with an 07? IMO they are the same as every other STi. Look atthe 04's that had ALL KINDS OF TROUBLE when they were in CA running on a crap tune. It's just what happens when you get a new model with different changes. I just think the 07 is getting a bad rep from the stock tune AND retarded people who mod without doing any research!!!!

I hate the gear ratios in the 07's. Not enough shifting, I love powershifting!!

And besides most of the 07' I hear of are blown, or have been rebuild, or have very low compression in one of the cylinders.

The gears aren't overly different between the 07 and other models. Yes there is a difference between the 4th and 5th =less shift(for us track guys).

You need to check into thing more IMO. Don't take this the wrong way, but if you are looking into STi's there always seems to be a problem with every model. Again, I think the 07s are just getting crap due to the retards who mod without EM. I've seen more threads about how people put on exhaust and in the same breath ask what boost creep is....come to find out only later they didn't have any EM added. If you really read, there's plenty about a crap stock tune, but all the blown 07s are modded or people who modded BEFORE modding.

I don't get it you're name is "wrb07sti" but you hate 07's, whats the catch? And from personal experience of owning both an '06 and '07 I can tell you the gear difference is soo small most wouldn't even notice. You just seem to be blurting stuff out for the heck of it without any actuall knoledge of it.

Basicly what you're saying is an '07 sti is a crappy car and no where near an 06. Let alone the fact that their basicly the same EXACT car with a different tune. I think you should get an esx, because only people that don't know what their truely getting will buy one. Have fun my friend you will enjoy you're "heavily modded esx, wonder of the sti world"..Please report back with pictures of you're beast, I would love to see

Yeah, the ESX is not somethihng to aspire to. I think the 2005 ESX STi was featured in "Herbie Fully Loaded" and it lost in a race with Herbie. Think about that for a second

Anyhow, some members have mentioned terrific "special edition" STis to aspire to like the Litchfiled Type 25 (post 2006) and the Spec C RA-R. I think you can get most of the parts to make your car up to those specs. I'm personally going to meet and then exceed the specs on the Type 25 eventually...someday!

Oh, and I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who thinks the ESX rims are rather ugly.
