Ok, since everyone here has been giving reasons for the STI, I thought I might want to add a few thigns in favor of the 08 WRX.

1. Better safety. Curtain airbags, active headrestraints, and stability control
2. Better interior
3. More room inside.

Annnd...that's about all I coudl think of.

Get the STI. Don't get the WRX.

ROFL @ 08 WRX.

I wouldn't give up my 06 STI for an 08 STI, let alone an 08 WRX.... 08 STi feels slow enough, couldn't be able to bear a lesser transmission, brakes, and suspension, and the whole sti ownership thing

I was ganna get a WRX, but I knew if I had a WRX, the whole time I had it I would just be thinking about owning the STI and regreting it. So I bought an STi lol and love it more than anything and thats not a joke.

The '08 will come with a warranty, that's one benefit. But personally I'd go for the STI.

I agree. You know what you want, you just have to get around the price tag for the used car. Trust me, its worth every penny. The brakes alone make it worth getting over the WRX, with that you get a lot more power, a better transmission and a better suspension.

I had an 02 WRX that I absolutely loved....it had awesome power and handling....Until I got my 08 STi. I decided to drive my 02 WRX for nostalgia sake about 1 month after I got my STi...the 02 WRX seemed slow and unresponsive. Bottom line is...I sold my 02 WRX within 6 weeks of that drive and I never looked back. The STi and WRX are two completely different beasts. I recommend the STi without remorse.

Like everyone else said, go the extra mile and get the STI!

You'll be infatuated with the 6-speed and the wonderful Brembos.

Financial sense? Okay.

If you spend $25,000 on a car you aren't happy with, you've wasted your money. Buy what you really want the FIRST time. Saves you money in the long run.

How's that for sense?
