Default Parents seem to be scared of my car.

When I headed out to school yesterday, doing 10 mph in a residential area, parents walking with their children suddenly look at me with fear and cover their kids as if a grenade went off.

Yeah, because I'm driving way below the posted 25 mph on the road I'll kill your kids who are safely on the large sidewalk guarded by a tall curb. Damn us crazy street racers.

I can't count the number of time I've almost been hit by a soccer mom in an SUV or minivan that's tearing through a neighborhood while I'm going the speed limit or less.

LOL... try to coast while revving the engine, it really scares the crap out of people. Our cars can be intimidating, that's something to feel proud of.

I have had people yell at me to slow down when I have been going wayyyyyy below the posted speed limit. That pisses me off and usually involves me stopping the car, revving the engine and then launching it. That is usually followed by me getting fllipped off. It's never on a residential street though, it seems to always be in the mountains. I try to not even make eye contact with these people and still get sh!t.

I guess our cars are like the old Celica Commercials, we just look like we're going a lot faster than we are.

Seriously, I drive extra slowly around my neighborhood to keep the noise down and be more wary of pedestrians. Those soccer moms are the real killers.

everytime i am at a stoplight or something, the people in a minivan besides me are like staring at me..although its more of the little kids just in awe of the car and the parents just turn their heads the other way lol

hah i posted a while ago about this one time i was driving down a residential street about 20-25 and come around a curve where theres a crosswalk about 150 feet away. Theres a mom and her two kids crossing the street. as soon as i round the curve, she grabs her kids literally and runs then leaps to the side of the road and holds her kids. I watch all this happen and slow down a bit and about 6 or 7 seconds later roll by them as the mom yells at me to slow down........ Us street racers are such a hazard to pedestrians

There are a lot of BMW's and Mercedes in my neighborhood who don't know a thing about cars. Of course, without knowing anything about it - they immediately hate it. It seems like everyone thinks I'm some insane street racer... I find it quite amusing.
