Hey guys,

Just trying to stay sane while patiently waiting for the right 06-07 STI to go up for sale. I recently graduated from college and commissioned in the Navy. I remember back in high school I would drool over the STI, even though they weren't even sold in the country yet.

Now I'm finally able to get an STI and they make it a freaking wagon! So I search all the major car classifieds (IWSTI,cars.com,autotrader, and craigslist) looking for a nice unmolested 06 or 07 with low miles and a fair price...which is a tough combination to find.

This site has made me skeptical of the 07 STI, so I'm somewhat nervous about buying one of those now...Thanks iwsti! Anyways, do you guys have any suggestions for an individual about to purchase an STI in the very near future?

Well, the 06's tend not to have the problems that the 07's have but when if you have a solid 07 that doesn't have a blown ringland to start, and you get it stage 2 with a safe tune, you'll be golden. PLus the 07 gears are a lot better.

Yea, I graduated college and jumped at the chance to get an 07 Limited.

The high note sucks, but I love the car. If I had it to do over again, I think I would save up alot more money to put down...
