Default My Time Attack/ Lap Battle STI

So, I have been building my 05 Time Attack/Lap Battle STI and it's almost to somewhat up to where I want it. The only left to do is a custom roll cage which will be installed by the mid of this month.

The pictures below are from Miller Motorsports Park in Utah for the 1st local Time Attack event LapBattle.com and I'm about .5 - .6 second behind the leader.

Please let me know what you guys think of my car? Any suggestion(s) for me to go faster and better lap time would be greatly appreciated.

Looks awesome. In regards to suggestions...I'm not a track / TA expert, but one can always improve the aerodynamics of our cars. Maybe the APR GT3 mirrors would be a good place to start. Not only less weight, but less drag. Just my .02.

Dave, Loving it. Nice lip/diffuser combo up front, I can see how those two work together nicely to get you some more front end grip.

No oil cooler? rear diffuser? GT wing? youre slacking Dave I guess youre keeping unnecessary weight down.

Looks great though, what are the holes on the front for?

Its a great but tough track --> really long, but I love long tracks. Biggest advise is focus on your straight away corners such as 9 and 23, but thats the number one objective at every track, lol. Use all the dam curbing in 16, 17, and 18, unless your running your car super low and dont want to damage anything; But if you wanna be fast, use it all. The tracks very slippery because of all the sand, and its gonna get really greasy if the sun and temps go up, so focus on not getting out of line. Good luck and have fun.

Raul, thanks. I design and a friend help me make that lip/undertray. It out of a stuff called "Aluminlite" which they use it to make signs. It's very very light and strong too.

As for the wing and stuff like that, I going to get a GT wing and make my own carrier so the wing can be high up near the roof line.

As for the holes, that for extra cooling to the radiator.

I'll be back to Boston pretty soon and I plan on running most of the tracks on the East coast.

Thanks for the tip. I have started to use the some lot of the curbing and that seems to help a bit.

The full track is around 4.5 mile long and it not that bad. You can get tuned out on the straight sometimes . That how long the front straight it is. I got up to 145 MPH on it.

They repaved the track last winter so it pretty nice. The only problem is when people do run off, they carry a lot of sand and dirt onto the track and you really need to be careful not the be on it at full speed, if you know what I mean.
