I miss my s2k everyday, i really do not think I would miss this car... i like it, but i do not love it nearly as much as any of my Hondas, I mean who the hell wants blue interior?

S2k + FI + hardtop + drop + rims = bliss

I had my 01 Cobra at school last year and it never got dinged up, parking was not a huge deal at my school though. It did however get broken into and everything stolen out of it. My STi was at school for only a few months after selling the cobra and I never had any issues. When I go back next sememster though, I will not be bringing my STi. Ill buy a car for cheap and rock that while the STi sits at home. I agree with the above posts, most kids dont care especially when drunk and will just walk away like nothing happend. A 2 door at college sucks though. Especially a 2 door with no back seat.

I took my Sti down to Elon with me (I now am in NYC), besides the dangers of a parking lot populated by kids, it was great. Filled to the brim with all my worldly possessions, I averaged about 28.5 MPG on a 10 hour drive, and zero problems, so I can't complain. I took it to the local subi place for an oilchage once and they all want crazy, I doubt they see very many. Anyway, all in all I think it it a great college car, just be mindful of where you park. There was many at time when I sat in my car and waited until a more preferable spot opened up.

This is a great comment. This is my 3rd year so i get decent parking but still. I Normally try to find a spot that has the least retards parking next to me. So just think about it. i park next to the curb and in front of the curb. therefore only one idiot can park next to me. Normally it happens to be another guy who really cares about this car (Mazda speed 6). There are not really drunk drivers at my school because its only 1k students and all the bars in the town are walking distance (even when its -15F outside).

Park in a well lit area and just learn what the safe places are.

all depends where you go. where I go it rarely gets a second look even with an aftermarket exhaust. but sorority sluts and frat douches drive 328xis and X5s and cayennes... so in that setting I'm more worried about the negative attetion if its parked on the street.

2x for a WRX or STI in non-WRB or with wing removed. Also 5 seats is good for transporting friends around vs the S2k/porsche (which could be a good thing if you dont like taking people around).

It is all about careful parking if you can, but it is a very practical college car with room and AWD.
