How far off from being structurally sound do you consider it to be? Or is it a peace of mind type of thing? Obviously no expense was spared in the repairs

Lets just put it this way, I am not comfortable with having the family in the car.....I hear more creaks and cracking noises after the repairs. Both my front windshield and read window creak when I go over bumps.....I would imagine that had to do with the roof of the car being cut off...For me its just a piece of mind that I dont have anymore but the overall quality is pretty good considering the damage it sustained.

Does it leak or anything? At first I was concerned about the B pillar(side impact safety) but I suppose rollover protection might have been compromised too.

I have had it leak several times after the repair and I check it every so often and no leaks lately

It will never be the same once its been in an accident. If someones willing to buy it you'll lose quite a bit of money as its sharply depricated. I'd be suing the idiot at fault for the difference you would be losing and then some as you suffered such a big hit.

Exactly! The Allstate appraiser valued my car at the time of the accident at 30,000 and 75% of that value is 22,500........and my total cost in damage repairs was 22,600......I think that I have a great case against Allstate, I hope they are ready to lose this one!

Good luck man.

As a side note, the one and only accidnet my STI has been invovled in was with a guy who was covered under All State. Man, they are terrible to deal with. It took them ONE MONTH to send someone out to take a look at my car. ONE MONTH. And in the end they didn't even inspect my car since by that time, I had gone furious and had my own insurance company come out and take a look at it. LOL.

I'm glad to hear that you and your daughter were OK after the accident.

Looking at the pics up top the garage did a fantastic job of repairing that one - I must admit that im surprised it wasn't written off, over here (UK) our insurance companies would have most definately scrapped it.

Nice looking scoob though - my guess would be that over here you would probably get £10,000 for it as the damage was heavy.

So apparently the local law firm representing the case for Allstate didnt know the extent of damage done to the car and how long the car was in the body shop. Supposedly they were surprised by all this and now they dont want this to go to court after they got all the facts. They asked me what I wanted and I told them exactly what I wanted. They didnt flat out reject it but were going to look it over and compare what I want to the facts of the case. My attorney gave them a settlement request of 40k, hopefully I just get enough to pay my medical and attorney bills and enough in diminished value so I can pay off the car.
