Well, Ryan did a good job with the CAI install. Looks like he got it in there without scratching it up much.

I didn't get a dyno graph yet, but after the retune the car feels like it spools faster. It is probably just in my head since I can hear the turbo now.

It actually seems to idle a little smoother too. It is strange since the 70mm CAI is suposed to be a little more fussy for tuning.

Got my Hawks Performance Ceramic brake pads and STi stainless steel brake lines installed.

I love the firm brake pedal feel. hopefully these won't dust as much as stock pads. I already ruined a set of stock Limited wheels with baked in brake dust.

Next mod is Group N top hats and Prodrive springs.

Did ryan say anything against using the APS 70mm? I would like to use it as well but am a little leery about using a CAI in Colorado w/ the weather we get...

Just to give you another perspective. I had Ryan do a protune for me and install my DP and midpipe all at once (already had an axle back on the car). Quoted me 1 hour of time for the install of the TBE. Ended up charging me $240.92 for the DP and midpipe install. Ridiculous. I would have done it myself for that much. When I showed up to pay, I about fell out of my chair. Asked for my dyno plot - he said he would send it to me via email - nothing. I am disappointed with my experience with Ryan at Super Rupair for sure.

No, he didn't say anything bad about the 70mm. Evidently he was able to tune for the larger MAF because it idles really smoothly. In fact, I would say it idles better then his last tune.

I don't think you have to worry about the APS CAI in the winter because it is enclosed in the Fender area. I would be very shocked if snow somehow found its way inside of there, and even more shocked if it somehow melted and got sucked up inside the intake. It just isn't going to happen.

Since we don't usually get much rain in denver, I don't think you have to worry about that either. You would have to be in a foot of water for this thing to even be submerged. You would have bigger issues then the intake if you were in a foot of water.

I recommend the APS 70mm CAI.

He did not charge extra for the CAI install or the retune. But it was supposed to be installed with all the other stuff so I paid for it when I paid for my original install.

Gee, I paid $400 for my TBE install. You got a great deal. It just seems like they charge way too much there.

Ryan said he would email me my map since I forgot my AccessPort on friday. Still waiting.

After the turbo install, I have had an oil leak. I have brought it in twice now and both times he has said he has fixed it. Guess what I found under my car today....... OIL.

I am definitely making the trip to Colorado springs for the rest of my performance installs.

No, you lose the rumble. It makes the car much quieter but it still sounds good. It just sounds different.

It definitely makes my car sound unique.

He said it was the oil line that was leaking. He said it comes down at a severe angle. Whatever the case is, it still isn't working. I hate the smell of burnt oil everytime I stop at a light.

Still waiting for Ryan to email me the map. I talked to him this morning and asked him to send it. Sigh.

I love the way the APS CAI sounds though. That whooshing sound is awesome.
