Ok, I know the car isn't even out yet, but just for grins and giggles how difficult/expensive would it be to boost the Sti up to a full 300 hp? The current consensus seems to place the car at around 260+- hp when it (hopefully) gets here. So that would mean adding 40 hp (note how comfortable I am at this higher level math). What would be the best way to add this horsepower taking into consideration $$, driveability, longevity.

Also, would a hp boost of this level necesitate(sp?) mods in the brakes, suspension, or exhaust to maintain the overall performance balance of the car?

Finally, what performance would a 300hp STi be capable of?

well, it wouldnt take much to get it up to 300HP. It wouldnt mean you would have to upgrade brakes or anything. The STI comes with brembo brakes. Why would you have to upgrade that? But it could easily be done with a BOV, Intake, Exaust and Boost Controller as far as the 300HP goes.

After numerous enquiries I have established that changing for panel filter and a high flow exhaust system from turbo back can easily increase power approx. 40 bhp.
