My previous vehicle was an '00 Jetta. It was my first car, which i got my senior year of high school. Even though it was new, the thing was such a POS and barely lasted me for 70k miles in 6 years. It was pretty much falling apart when i finally sold it two summers ago. So going from that junk to the STi, i don't miss my old car at all.

I was a VW guy forever..Corrados, Scirroccos, Jettas, Rabbits.
Then came the 71 Bronco 4x4
A POS Dodge Avenger
And my favorite until now, my Neon ACR.

The STI rules.

The killer was that I had a chance to pick up a SC 02 vette for like 28k. The only reason I passed it up was because we just bought my wife a new Forester. At least my buddy bought the vette and I get to see it and drive it. Soon enough I'll have the STi and 1/4 mile car to go with it.

I owned a ton of Honda's (91' integra, 95' integra, 90 crx Si, 00' civic Si), and a 240sx. All of them had some mods done, the only ones I miss are the 95' integra and the 00' Si, maybe the 240 a little bit. I had the best times in those cars, but wouldnt trade the STi for any of them.

I have owned two cars before this. My first car was an old '88 mazda 626 turbo that had been the family car. My mom got the turbo becuase she is afraid of trucks and merging onto the highway so wanted some power. That car was good for two things, one wheel peels in the first three gears and surprising muscle car owners at stop lights.

My second car, and the first one that was really mine I picked up in college. It was a white 95 mustang gt, last year with the old 5.0. Man I loved that car. I did everything to it over the 5 years I owned it. In the end it had a fully built engine with a vortech supercharger that made 416 rwhp and passed NJ emissions, the full sniffer test. Its problem was that by the time I got into serious mods it stopped being reliable. A smaller issue for me was that I had to drive it year round and it was scary bad in the snow. I drove it anyway. Nothing better then passing spun out SUVs in a 400+ hp muscle car with snow tires on it in a blizzard. Also that car was fast as hell in a strait line. Lost traction in 4 of the 5 gears if you were not careful.

So in short, I miss the mazda 'cause it was my first car and it was bulelt proof and I miss the Mustang because it was a brute and had that awesome force fed v-8 growl.

I sure don't. But the only cars I drove were all crappy Fords, except for the SVT Contour, which compared to the STI is nothing.

I sometimes miss having 550 horsepower, yes. If I could have afforded to keep the Cobra and also get the STI, I would have.

Sometimes I see an RX-8 and I get really nostalgic, it was a fantastic car, I'll probably end up with a rotary again at some point. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore the Sti as well:

My old car was a 05 WRB STi, friend totaled it out, so I went out and bought a 05 OBP STi. I miss the mods, but still have the same car .
