| Ive done a lot of research and read a lot of reviews here in IWSTI. And it looks as though there are no major complaints with either system. And I have narrowed it down to these two coilovers. The Tein's are significantly cheaper then the Zeals I know that, and I know in the end you get what you pay for. Zeals are higher quality, and they include camber plates front and rear. Money for me is an issue though, because if I get the Tein's I can save at least $1000 bucks. Which I can use elsewhere for mods. Is Tein quality really bad? I know the Zeals have the inverted strut and the Tein's dont. Does it really matter whether the suspension I choose has an inverted strut design? I know its hard to compare the two since most people either have one or the other and havent tried both systems. Kinda like apples and oranges. But I cant decide. The car wont see the track much, maybe 1 or 2 a year. Would I not be able to use the Zeals to its full potential then? I want a coilover system though because would like to have the height and damping options. Any advice you guys can offer would really help me.

| Platinum Member Feedback Score: 18 reviews | it is no contest, the zeals are WAY nicer, but very expensive. I compromised and got the whiteline g4's, which I am very happy with. at $2100, they are significantly cheaper than zeals, but much higher quality than the teins. just another thing to consider.

If I looked at STX WRXes at Nationals last year... I have been told I would see almost nothing BUT Teins? Whatcha' got against them? Flex's are the cats meow for a budget minded racer. - dow Tein convert | |

| Between the two I would choose the Zeals. Give Myles a ring and he can hook you up. |

| Fair enough, and my apologies. It appears you are basically looking for a street coilover that has some adjustbility to it. The spring rates on the SS-P are soft (5/5K), but it does have the option for EDFC -- something the Zeals dont. Non-inverted struts is NOT something that would be relevant to you in everyday driving. Neither are really a great track setup. If I had to choose, I would read some reviews about people who daily drive the SS-Ps, and people who daily drive the Zeals. I don't think you would be getting 2K worth out of the zeals... and I don't know how anyone would without a revalve. Either way, I wish you good luck, but both are too low spring rates for me to have put TONS of research into. Call Myles and see what works best for you AND your pocketbook. - dow - What |

| Based on your requirements, I'd actually direct you to either the Whiteline G4's or the AST sportlines. If you're not tracking or autox'ing, I honestly think the Zeals are not the greatest option. I'm running them and love them on the track, tolerate them on the street. The G4's and I'm assuming the AST's because they are probably very similar would be better suited to a daily driver. If you would like some greater insight on the Zeals, I started a very LONG thread about my experiences with them so far. Might give you a more well-rounded opinion. Might I ask why you want coilovers vs. say pinks and camber plates? |
