I'm at like 361xx right now. Bought the car April 5, 2007, its now November 7 2008 and I have 36 k miles on my car... At this pace, I'll have 100k miles in 34 months!! Yay!! IWSTI Addict since: May 2006 | so did you ever find out what caused the engine failure? So is DS1 doing the motor or P & L? I'd imagine P & L gets their blocks done through Ron at Axis seeing as they do alot of work together. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2007 | No idea yet. Most likely P&L but I'm not making any decisions for a few months yet. |

50k 5year is power terrain and is suppose to warranty anything "moving". Engine is still under waranty. I forget the dealership, but it's near chicago i think it's gerald subaru, they are suppose to be really good with the warranty work on the ringlands. | |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2007 | Called Gerald Subaru, they said the car will not be covered under warranty if its been modified. Called SOA, person I talked to basically said I'd have to sign a waiver to let them tear down my engine and then I'd have to pay for labor and all that jazz if they determine that one of my mods caused the issue. Since they will be unable to produce any scientific factual evidence of this, I asked the SOA rep how they will be able to determine that and she started getting in to how its the Service managers decision with some field techinician there to watch over everything, blah, blah, blah... basically what I got from her was I'm SOL. Unless someone knows of a mod-friendly dealer in the Chi-Town area looks like I'm paying to have my engine rebuild |
