IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2007 | I actually just got done talking with Jorge about this all. I called up DS1 motorsports (which is only a couple miles from my house ) to talk to them about an engine rebuild. From what it sounds like, I may be purchasing a brand new short block for $1750, having them drop in some forged goodies, and then having them swap the blocks. I can sell my used block for about $500. I've got several months to plan this all out, but that sounds like a really nice approach to me |

Why go with DS1 over P&L for the rebuild? Is the 07 shortblock the same as the 05, save the pistons?

I have stayed out of boost for like 6 to 10 weeks now The pain of not being able to have fun with my car is really starting to get to me I might have to push this engine rebuild a little sooner!

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2007 | Gondy, just have it repaired under warranty, lately subaru has been fixing 07 with ringlands without many questions asked since they've realized the flaw. Dylan and Jeff at DS1 do some amazing work too and while you're there they might try and sell you some Tomei products Quote:

Jorge also advised that I talk to Ron. I will probably be giving him a ring sometime next week
