hey andy, how's it goin ?
i say for now try to stick with the forged pistons and rods and ur engine will be able to take on some medium sized turbo, and then when u plan to get a huge one u can take the heads out and do the mods that will support ur bigger turbo.....
i mean u can save ur money now not spending it on cams cuz u hv moded the cams to get a bigger turbo, and a bigger turbo means a lot of money = long time to save for the big turbo !!
and btw if u r gonna tune the heads then u should do the following
replace cams, spring loads, retainers, head studs, head gaskets,....
and do some head work (port polish,.....)............
so if u r goin to do some work on the heads, you must do it right andy

just my advice bro

After talking with jorge, I think i will be getting CP drop in forged pistons and calling it a day. I don't plan on going with any huge build on my car so I don't want to spend more money then I have to.

The car did eat a small amount of oil and was smoking a little bit, but since I've started grannying the car, it hasen't been eating oil and the smoke is gone. I am getting smoke now but that's probably due to cold-start enrichment since winter is rearing its ugly head on us

I sent in my UOA and talked with my Tuner Jorge and am thinking that I will only be dropping in forged pistons. If the UOA comes back that I have wear on my rods or some other engine parts, I will probably upgrade there too. I think I'm going to pass on cams, I don't think its a wise investment for what I use my car for... its a pretty pricey mod

Well nothing is 100%, but it assures me that a ringland(s) is busted. This analysis combined with what Jorge told me and showed me, and the fact that I'm showing all the symptoms really leaves me with no other scenario. I hope all my other engine internals are fine

I'm planning on rebuilding the engine in the spring with at the minimum CP forged pistons... but may decide on other goodies as I have a few months to plan this out.

your lead (bearings) numbers are quite high too. high iron numbers would lead me to believe that you're going to see a lot of cylinder wall scoring.
