Decided against an APR or HKS rear diffuser because I didn't want to cut into my stock bumper or rivet into it. So today I finally removed the dealer sticker from the trunk and installed the JDM rear spats. I tried to get soem good angles on them to show them off better.

Here the pics are. First, my 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STi TYPE R!

best recognize, foo!

now on to the goodies:

One installed after I figured out which screw went where since I can't read Japanese.

Here they are both on, dealer sticker gone, car waxed, and done for the day:

and here is a side profile shot to show the levelling out of the cars bottom line that these spats provide:

They fit beautifully, just like OEM (duh). Love them. The paint matches up flawlessly. I put a coat of wax on them and they're good to show.

Got some more parts on the way too...

APS CAI
TiC Pivot Bushing

I'll update with my reviews/pics later. I'm moving to the APS from my Typhoon due to bad heatsoaking issues with the Typhoon in city traffic. I will be getting an APS turbo inlet next to bolt up with it, just in time for my next stage of mods.

Thanks! I want to get a front lip next. Can't decide on a carbon fiber one or a normal v-limited.

Thank you very much!

I got the rear spats through the group buy that was being run on here in the exterior forum. It was through Japanparts.com. The GB took off about $100 from the regular price and shipping time from Japan wasn't bad at all.

You're right about the lines, really cleans everything up back there. Looks great!

Installed the TiC pivot bushings yesterday. They were a tough fit. I had to manhandle the shifter and use a hammer pretty liberally to get them close enough to where I could mangle the shifter back into the linkage rod. I then tightened them down and after one readjustment, was good to go. My impression of them after a day or two of driving is that they're good at firming up the overall feel of the stick when engaging gates. I'm not too thrilled with how sloppy the linkage bushings are, etc. though, so I will have to order the bodacious bushings bundle next month along with a Cobb SS.
