Default Street Machine --> A tale of an 06 Sti, s362sx-e, TBG Live win!

***See last page for most recent updates.

This tale all began when I first purchased my Aspen White 06 sti back in 2011. It was magical. After an unfortunate accident in which the vehicle was in a rollover (I was ok luckily), I then found a beautiful, low mile SGM 06 sti that was even nicer that my previous unit.
Now this brings us here.

And now this brings us to the part where I crave MORRREEEEE POWWWWWAAAA! Classic, I know.
So I have now decided to increase power in the car, thus pushing it past the stock blocks "safe" capability. I am all about properly building my car, and not taking any shortcuts. This is why I decided to build the motor and not just go straight to the rotated turbo setup without properly strengthening the engine first.

As of now, the time line looks like this:
pull engine (done)
disassemble engine (in the works)
sell good shortblock/order new shortblock (February)
install new shorthblock (March)
break in motor (March)
install rotated turbo setup (May/June)
be very cool (Anytime after May/June)

Shortblock Build list (subject to change)
Outfront Closed Deck EJ25
CP Pistons
Manley H-tuff Rods
King bearings
ARP 2000 rod bolts and head studs

Heads (keeping stock for now)
deck
refresh if needed

This is all in an attempt to safely and consistently run a streetable 425-475 whp. The car will mainly be a summer DD with the occasional track session.
The rotated turbo parts list looks as follows:

Have:
Holset Hx35 7 blade w/ 0.63 a/r hotside
T1 billet fuel rails
Injector Dynamics 1000cc top feed injectors
ACT HD pressure plate w/ 6 puck clutch disk
ACT streetlite flywheel
Uppipe and Downpipe fabricational components

To Be Purchased (subject to change)
Tial BOV
Tial 44mm EWG
Turbo oil feed and drain lines
Fuel lines
FPR with fuel pressure gauge
FMIC core (making own endtanks)
Custom intercooler piping
Make up/down pipes and rerouted EWG dump tube
A/C delete????
Custom intake
IAT and MAP sensors to run speed density
Reversed intake manifold
TGV delete
Every gasket ever
Tigwerks engine mounts
EL header (tigwerks or techworks)

Here are some pics of some parts and the process so far:

Obligatory standing in engine bay greaser photo

I can hardly wait to make more progress on her. When I get my week off here coming up I will be going hard on tearing in down and getting it fully ready for the new block.
Enjoy!!!

Beautiful car man!! Exactly the way I wan't my CGM to look hopefully later this summer

Two quick questions, where did you find the RPF1s? I can't seem to find them online also what all you do to make them fit just spacers in the front and roll in the back? It looks like your noticeably lower than other cars running the same rims...

Great build btw subscribed for sure
