I won the TBG Live event yesterday at Top Tier Imports Spring Awakening meet. The weather was average but I am extremely happy to take home the win. I receive a feature in PASMAG and move further in the competition to potentially battle at SEMA!

Update:

During the TBG Live voting I had a photo shoot with a local photographer that goes by the name Old Soul Photography and I am extremely happy with how these rain shots turned out. He is very talented. Here are a few of my favourites.

And here is a very unique shot my brother took.

Also I have a photo shoot for the Pasmag feature coming up in July. Can't wait!

Now comes the fun part. If you follow me on Instagram you already know where I'm going with this one.

I was out for a nice casual drive around the outskirts of Brandon when a deer jumped onto the road. I just missed it and thought I was in the clear. That was hardly the case. Another deer bolted out and I had zero chance to try to avoid it. It smashed into my front fender, head smashed against the A-pillar/windshield/hood, exploded my mirror, dented both doors and then slammed its butt right into my rear quarter. I was in complete shock. It was crazy loud since I had the windows down and bits of the mirror went flying at my head. Luckily no one was hurt and I didn't loose control of the car. Had the deer hit me a millisecond later, its head would have come right in the drivers window and could have severely injured me. Scary.

Originally MPI wanted to call it a total-loss but promptly came back to me saying I could repair it. I didn't even have to show them my extensive receipt stash! I would be completely crushed if they wrote it off.

The car is now at the repair shop and they are fixing everything as quick as possible so that I can still have the photoshoot done for the magazine.

Last year I blow a motor and this year I smoke a deer. Great record lol!

Here is a picture of some of the damages.

Always has to be something!

But any-who, the new found power of the current setup is pretty nutty. It catches me off guard most of the time and shoots some serious fireballs out of the hood on most hard pulls. Its great! However I still find myself craving more power. Typical.

Great no serious injuries and happy to hear it might be fixed in time for your next photo shoot.

Damn. That's pretty extensive even for a deer hit.

Deer are a serious thing around me. I've hit 3 in my life... one at 60mph after midnight coming home in high school, didn't even see it til it was a foot in front of my driver's headlight. Did about 6k in damage. Other two I managed to mostly avoided/minimize, still did a good number on the front end.

I always have friends from out of town who are so excited to see them on the side of the road... "wow that's SO COOL, look! they are right there!"

They always look at me a bit strangely when my response is something along the lines of "fuck those things.."
