If you are worried about someone wanting a high res pic...post links to them from wherever you are hosting your pics from.

Default APS CAI is installed!

I finally got my APS Cold Air Intake from Staticxmotorsports.com(thanks Robert for all your help!). The install took about 45 minutes. The hardest part was getting the silencer out of the bumper without taking too much off to get out of your way. Anyhow, without further ado -

It was a big mutha - much bigger than I had anticipated!

Installed.

I reset my ECU afterwards and let it idle up to operating temp. I then took it for a leisurely stroll around the countryside to see what it was going to sound like. It wasn't untill last night that I really let it rip and man... does it sound nice. I went to one of my friend's lakehouse in Dandridge, TN, to hang out for a while. Another guy that was there was riding his '97 Honda CBR600 with a Vance & Hines slip on. We had some beer leftover and he wanted to take it home. I offered to take it with me in my car since it would be heavy for him on that bike and we live so close anyways. It's about a 40 mile drive from where I live to Dandridge on the interstate so he and I did some fooling around. At one point we were just getting past some trucks and I gunned it starting in 4th. His bike didn't even catch up untill I hit ~140mph. Wreckless I know, but I really wanted to know what the top end was like with the intake versus stock. I can totally say that it definately has better pull past 5500rpm and doesnt slack off near as much. All in all, even after a full month's wait, it was definately worth it!

did you buy from prestige? that's where i got my aspen white sti and i also got mine in feb. there were 2 white sti's there the morning i went to pick mine up i'm assuming the other one is yours now i also wanted gold wheels and the salesman (Ed) told me i could come back when they got another sti with gold wheels and they would switch them out. he told me that some guy from TN (assuming you) wanted to do the same thing.

well anyway i bought my sti that morning and he said i would be ahead of you on the gold wheels. well it seems that you must have gotten your wheels before i did sicne you said you got them 3 weeks later, and i just got mine like 2 weeks ago which was over a month from when i bought mine. i'm not mad but i think it's kinda funny i found out like this. anyway nice looking car man, looks just like mine

Yeah, I got mine from Ed at Prestige and he told me that you were interested in the STI he had on "hold" for me when we were in the middle of negociations. Ed seems to be a pretty stand up guy for the most part and he told me that he tried to contact you about the wheels but never had any luck, so he went ahead and gave them to me. The 3 weeks is a rough estimate, but I know I got mine before you. I had problems, however, with the lady that is in charge of the titling/registration. She forgot... yes forgot, to submit my paperwork for an entire month. So I was running around in a 33,000 dollar sports car with paper tags for about 10 weeks. Also, I had some floor mats there waiting on me to get them when I got my wheels and some idiot sold them to someone else. I had already paid for them so this infuriated me. Those hickups really did put a ding in my experience with Prestige, but 1 thing in their favor is that they are a semi mod friendly dealership. I have talked to Ken in the service dpt a few times to make sure they would support me while doing the mods I have planned. He offered to install them for me - I figure thats a safe bet! Anyhow, sorry for the mixup, but maybe an explanation is above!
