IWSTI Addict since: Dec 1969 | Welcome to the HSPN / IWSTI / Team RD #27 Race Car Build-Up Thread / Member Journal. The origonal post was made on April 22nd, 2005 when the car was purchased and since then the thread has gotten so long it's almost impossible to find what you're looking for. In an effort to organize the thread, I've modified the first post to include a Table of Contents. The original post has been maintained and can be found below the Table of Contents. The Table of Contents has been organized by post number. To jump to the posts that interest you, simply click on the post number. ------------------------ TABLE OF CONTENTS ------------------------ For a quick list of modifications, sponsors, and other information, scroll down or see the Member's Gallery. *Indicates pictures are included in the post Post #9 - First daylight pictures of the new STI along side the STI wagon* Post #18 - 3 Subies in the driveway (My STI & Wagon, & Nivek's STI)* Post #19 - Swapped the JDM (clear) headlights from the Wagon to the STI* Post #21 - Pictures of Nivek's BBS RE's that I decided to get for my STI* Post #29 - BBS RE's installed on my STI* Post #32 - TEIN SS-P Coilovers with EDFC installed* Post #41 - Before & After pictures of the TEIN's to show the drop in height* Post #43 - More pictures showing the smaller gap front & rear* Post #44 - Pictures of the EDFC unit* Post #45 - Defi BF Amber gauges installed* Post #48 - Daylight pictures of the Defi Gauges & Gauged Pod* Post #49 - Defi wiring / install pictures* Post #54 - Schroth Profi II ASM Harnesses installed (see post just below for impressions)* Post #77 - Cobb 3" Catless Turbo Back Exhaust installed Post #83 - ACPT Carbon Fiber Driveshaft installed Post #84 - The Brake Man lightweight racing rotors & pads installed & reviewed (link to pictures just below) Post #88 - Tested The Brake Man rotors & ACPT Driveshaft at the track / pics of the pink exhaust* Post #93 - Canyon pictures & a wallpaper* Post #98 - The famous "Blue Flames" videos (flames coming out of my exhaust) Post #123 - IWSTI personalized license plate installed* Post #126 - The "Rally Course" (our canyon run) is on fire* Post #139 - It's raining ashes* Post #143 - IWSTI t-shirt attack* Post #175 - Rear seats & door panels removed Post #192 - Pictures of the roll cage and partially stripped out car* Post #202 - NRG Quick-Release Steering Wheel installed* Post #211 - The Brake Man calipers installed Post #223 - Caliper review / observations Post #226 - Recaro Pole Position seats installed / some exterior pics* Post #230 - Close-up pictures of The Brake Man Calipers* Post #240 - Stereo removed Post #247 - Rear seat supports, seat belts, carpet, & more removed (updated weight count) Post #278 - Pictures from Buttonwillow* Post #308 - Buttonwillow video Post #350 - Center console removed / Spec C aluminum trunk* Post #352 - First look at the custom intake duct fender* Post #357 - Speakers removed (updated weight count)* Post #363 - Lots of plastic removed (updated weight count)* Post #375 - Roof liner, dome lights, & A-pillars removed (updated weight count)* Post #386 - Glovebox, Dash, & Airbag removed (updated weight count)* Post #396 - C-West Carbon Fiber GT-II S Wing & intake duct fender installed* Post #431 - Better pictures of the wing / fender from Willow Springs* Post #477 - Last picture of the STI & Wagon together before the Wagon is sold* Post #544 - New Ford F150 Lariot purchased to tow the race car (wagon sold)* Post #556 - IWSTI sticker installed on the F150* Post #565 - F150 Gauges at night* Post #575 - HSPN Vinyl Graphics installed (first look)* Post #583 - More pictures / close-ups of the graphics* Post #597 - APR GT3 Mirrors / Esemes Grille installed* Post #608 - Cobb Double Adjustable Short Shifter installed* Post #644 - APR Carbon Fiber Front Splitter installed* Post #704 - Sponsor stickers / final graphics installed* Post #757 - A new wallpaper (ocean cliff)* Post #778 - Pictures of the interior (or lack thereof)* Post #798 - Enkei RPF1 Wheels Installed (17x8.5 +40mm)* Post #845 - Canyon Pictures with the new wheels* Post #916 - The trailer is finally here* Post #949 - Air conditioning unit removed* Post #969 - Protuned by Doug @ TopSpeed - 307whp / 379 wtq Post #976 - Windshield wipers & motor removed* Post #980 - Recap of total front weight reduction Post #986 - Headlights removed / hollowed-out lights installed* Post #1000 - Dynographs of the Protune by Doug* Post #1074 - IWSTI Hat & Microfiber Shirt photoshoot* --------------------------SPONSORS------------------------- ![]() --------------------------THE MOD LIST------------------------- Fuel & Tuning:

I had been thinking about putting an STi engine and tranny in the wagon for a while but today the STi Wagon got a much needed companion...a Blue 2005 STi I've had a blast making the wagon what it is today, but I felt it was time to just do it right. No doubt, the wagon is much faster than any stock or even mildly modified STi, but what would be required to make it a true track car just isn't there. It's done well on the track, but had its share of problems as well. Just yesterday at Willow Springs I had a pretty minor slide and when I caught it the car jerked straight with enough force to knock the -2 degrees of camber in the rear to positive. How the hell correcting a slide could do that to a car, I have no idea, but it was the last motivating factor I needed to just go out an get another STi. Long story short, I came home today with the STi. I have some crappy pictures for now as my camera doesn't seem to take pictures at night very well. I didn't realize it when I was taking the pictures, but my wagon still has the stock STi wheels on it that I use at the track, since I was there yesterday. Looks interesting seeing them both with the same wheels .Mods done the second I got home: - Got rid of the Subaru letters on the trunk - Swapped the seats out of my wagon (JDM v8 STi Seats) with my stock seats along with the STi mats from the wagon Mods to be done in the next few days: - Remove the STi stickers from various places - Red Defi Gauges - Clear bra - Tint - Valentine 1 hard wire - Swap the JDM lights from my wagon Mods in the next few weeks: - Cobb 3" Turbo back exhaust - AccessPORT stage 2 - Whiteline Group 4 Coilovers - Hotchkis Swaybars - SSR GT7 18x8's with Dunlop Super Sport Race Tires - Another set of Dunlops for use at the track on the Stock wheels once I eat up the stock tires in the next few track events I was thinking about taking off all of those mods from the wagon and putting them on the STi, but I still want the wagon to be fun to drive . I really like how the wagon is set up so I'm basically just buying the same stuff all over again lol.I'll have some better pictures tomorrow in the daylight. Can't wait until 1000 miles! IWSTI Addict since: Dec 1969 | Pics of the wagon as well as a mods list are here: http://www.imprezawrxsti.com/forums/vbgarage.php?do=view&id=7741 Attached are some pics from the daylight, those ones at night sucked. I'll be swapping those headlights from the wagon today and taking off the STi stickers. Shouldn't take more than an hour. Oh and good news...my personalized plate "IWSTI" will be arriving soon!
