update:

- little ricki (my mechanic) has a few minor repairs to make on other cars to get the shop cleared completely for this project. at the risk of making another prediction, it looks like we'll be starting this weekend.

- phil hasn't started working on selecting a larger injector for this application, specifically the denso 1000cc's. phil sent me my hydra unit with the map from his own car, currently with perrin modified injectors. unless he can provide a "denso" map in time for my project's maiden start-up, i've decided to send the stock injectors off to perrin for the modification as a temporary measure. the mod "only" costs a few hundred bucks, will get here on time and do the job for break-in. once broken in i'll swap to larger injectors when i get it down to maryland for tuning.

- the element gt65 turbo kit is not ready for shipping. my kit is a pre-production custom fabrication and he is waiting for the water-cut flanges to get finished. i should have an eta from him later today and i will update later if i get one. as long as it will get here in 7-10 days, we can get started. we've got plenty to do in the interim (isfh).

How easy is the eboost to program? I was thinking about doing one instead of an avc-r when my next motor(stock ej257, that's right!) goes in.

i have no idea on the e-boost. i haven't even read the manual yet.

what did you do with your last motor. weren't you having problems with your gt35r?

thats going to be a monster of a car once you get everything worked out. i imagine once you get it going it'll have some teething problems but from what i read you really have a complete package going. good luck and if you do have over 600whp you might hit the 10's. one sick project car.

Apparently I wasn't having problems with my gt35r, I was having problems with my tune. It was REALLY off. It ended up eating the rind landings in cylinder #4 so I'm dropping in another stocker.

update: wed. 7/13

nothing goes as fast as you want it to (just ask eseme and robert).
fortunately for us, we only have one more car to clear out of the shop. it's a monte carlo with a fresh h.p. engine swap among other things. theyre still waiting for a few parts for it. i've directed little ricky to "clear the riff raff out of here and get started." (when someone's eyes glaze over...does that mean theyre not listening to you?)

webcam update: our tw cable is still not wired into the building, which is set back 200 feet from the road. they got it to about 50 feet away and stopped. theyre supposed to get it hooked up on mon. or tues. next week. the webcam should be up right after that. i'm not sure what the insomniacs will do without it but it's likely to miss the initial teardown. oh well.
