| I first saw the ad for this car on autotrader.com. It had 77,003 miles, and was posted for $14,900 before tax, prep. fees, etc. Granted that I bought this car from a BMW dealership in NY state, I feel as though I got a good deal on it considering that it had after market rims, tires, exhaust, coilovers, HID head lights, Defi gauges (worth $875 + Labor), seats, and a new Pioneer MP3 player (not seen in photos below). Unfortunately, after test driving and inspecting the car, I found several issues with it. Namely that the coilovers, rotors, inner circle tail lights, and front bumper lip needed to be replaced. I purchased the car for $15,000 after tax, prep. fees, etc. Below is a link of 50 pictures of my Subaru... http://share.shutterfly.com/share/received/welcome.sfly?fid=ea3027ecee520ddd&sid=0AYtW7Nm1cOG TiY Modification Plans: 1. Install this Apexi Auto Timer... http://www.apexi-usa.com/products/?id=5351&rsku=17043 2. Repair the issues that the car had when I first bought it. 3. Install Sub-woofers in the trunk (lucky for me, the previous owner left all the wiring). 4. Install an Electronic Boost Controller. 5. Install an after market intake and blow off valve. 6. Install several sway bars throughout the car. 7. If I have money left over, I will think of more modifications... power modifications. Last edited by PushingPSI; 02-06-2010 at 11:15 PM. |

| welcome and keep us updated on your upgrades. if you use photobucket you can post the images directly on your page instead of having a link ( not too many people like to follow links to view picstures) |

| Welcome. The only thing in that list that makes sense is #6, the rest are a waste of money and time.

| How is #2 and #4 "a waste of money and time?" Repairing issues with the car (coilovers and rotors) is essential, and having a good EBC will make my life much easier (as far as proper tuning is concerned). |

| I spent enough time as it is creating my shutterfly photo album. Those that care enough to take a look at my ride will see it through shutterfly. |

| While I agree with Millie that #2 and #6 are the only worthwhile mods, its your own car. Good luck with the repairs! |

| 1. waste imo, not needed on water/oil cooled turbo cars from factory... 2. definately, this should be your main concern... 3. waste imo, but im really not music orientated when it comes to cars... but wtv floats your boat, if you like, go for it! 4 & 5. waste imo, until you get into serious performance levels where better flow is necessary and boost control becomes a big concern. 6. definately look into this. one of the best suspension mods you can do... (several swaybars? theres more than just front and rear?) 7. set yourself a goal before all your money is gone. you can easily spend 10$k on a car and still not be done with it... also, realize this is just friendly advice and my opinions on the items listed above... read all the stickies on this site... they can more or less answer all the do's, do not's about modding your STi.
