Well here she is, I figured I would post up a thread here on nasioc so I can get some constructive criticism and some feedback on what I have going on with the car.

Anyhow, I have a 2007 STi with just passing 14,000 miles. I got the car with 7,000 miles and bone stock and I have been building it since. I have just recently (within the past year and a half) have found a passion for autocross and track days, so this is the route I have decided to take my car down. It still spends some time around on the street though :)

Re: Jsti's 07 SWP Sti

They are unique, on that, they look good, It's just that they have a little bit too much shine for my taste, and maybe that's because of the flash on your camera, but I would love to rock those in more of a flat gun metal.....love the outside rim bolt pattern (don't know if it has a name), it catches your attention even in the pics where the rim view is from a distance

Re: Jsti's 07 SWP Sti

well today I finished painting the center dash and vent rings. I also polished the shifter trim.

I really like how it came out.
Hey i like the look of that! What did you use. Just regular spray paint? Lemme know. Only reason i ask, is cuz id be worried about the paint chipping, but maybe not. Im just so sick of the silver getting scratched everytime a hair lands on it. Thats my biggest gripe about the interior.

Re: Jsti's 07 SWP Sti

Received the gaskets yesterday so now the downpipe is installed as of today!

Hardest part is definitely putting the intercooler back on. PITA, but finally got it on. However, the clamp holding the hose from intercooler to turbo will not stay. It fits but after tightened it will not stay, it just slides right off towards the turbo.

There was some oil on the hose and clamp, so I wiped it off hoping to get the clamp to stay, but still no go.

So if anyone can help me out with this clamp problem or has pointers for putting the intercooler back on (for future reference) it would be great.

Re: Jsti's 07 SWP Sti

After a long time of searching... I finally found some!

(sorry cell phone picture)

If anyone can give me the directions for the wrc tail light mod, that would help a lot. I have searched but have come up with nothing.

Re: Jsti's 07 SWP Sti

I have looked through those. But I am looking to do the wrc tail light mod. People have talked about doing it but did not post directions.

Like so.

Ok yeah. You could try some trial and error and just rearrange them.

I'm guessing you want the circle and outer to light up then when you hit the brakes?
I know you discuss this awhile ago but did you ever end up figuring out how to do it?

I probably will end up doing a trial and error.

Ya, I am planing to have the circle and outer to light up then I hit the brakes. But this may change if I figure out something that I like more.

Re: Jsti's 07 SWP Sti

at first the wheel i thought were kinda off.... but they look fantastic with the drop.

very unique.

When you take the headlight apart, remember where everything goes!!!

i remember when I did this to my 05.

If you havent found a good paint yet, use a very High temp paint...

thanks man, I keep the variety of clips and such in the small pepsi cups that are all over the ground lol.

I was thinking of going with the Krylon fusion satin paint. Lots of people seem to use it.

I hope he tells me what I want to hear when I talk to the inspection guy tomorrow:rolleyes:
