Default 05 STi Evolved: 18g/deatchwerks/walbro install all complete! whoo hooo..

feb or march i thought i blew a headgasket- but after talking more and more to a great tech at the subaru dealership he informed me that there is almost no way i killed a gasket with just a Headerback exhaust and spt air breather and a tune.

so fast forward to a month ago when i ordered my Forced Performance 18g for 800 bucks shipped (hook up FTW) when a stock vf39 was 1200 new. i was going to pay the dealership 350 to install... but i wanted to put on my new P/S pump first, so last thursday night when i was done with my ps pump, i started tearing apart the car... took the turbo off jsut to make sure it was the problem and not a blown ring or something--- my turbine fans look like ice cream scoops and the freaking thing wobbles as much as a stock shifter. i was grinning from ear to here.

friday i had a day off so over a few hours i swapped on the turbo and deautches. filled coolant. oil swap. primed the turbo. had a spraying leak that would make Jed Clampet ish his pants. today realized i put to large of washers on the oil feed line and corrected the issue(refilled about a quart and a half of oil that shot out of the car)... jumped the car with my wifes 05 TL (i left the lights on the 96 TL last night like a retard so i have to jump that car too)..... little girl started right up.

having not re hooked up the exhaust- she soulds like a harley- now i just need to go bolt my exhaust back on and some how figure out how to fab on my cobb heat sheild with no brackets (wtf) and have her tuned this weekend and i am GOOD TO GOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!

it is sooooo hard to not go for a cruising drive in my baby right now.

Now it's just a matter of modding like there's no limit on your credit card and attracting people to come and drool over them.

ha ha ... not for me- i am done modding unless its replacing something that brakes (for example- this venture in this post was out of need rather than choice....

More power means you need more brakes.
