Default My '07 OBP

Ever since I saw the first WRX commercial in 2002, I was in love. The commercial showed a WRB WRX carving corners in a twistie hilly road.( YouTube - WRX 2002 commercial #2) The boxer rumble was music to my ears. I was always a fan of the 2.5RS and I watched the WRC whenever I would. Which wasn't very often in the U.S. So the research began. The more I read and the more I saw the more I wanted one. I had my first car which was a '97 Grand Am GT (hella lame). When I beat that to within an inch of it's life I went to look at a WRX. I just couldn't afford the insurance at the time. So I ended up getting a used Dodge Ram. Drove that for about 2 years. Then switched to an '01 Land Rover Discovery. Which was an awesome vehicle.....when it wasn't broken, which it always was. Traded that in on my STI. I have to give a big thank you to my wife. She makes a butt load more $ than I do which made getting my dream car a lot easier.

Of course mods started almost immediately. I'll try to keep this list updated:

- V-Limited replica front lip
- Partially debadged (stickers removed & trunk minus the subaru badge)
- Intake silencer delete
- Rally Armor mud flaps
- Cobb stage 1 at 7000 miles
- McGuard black lugs
- K&N drop in
- SRS cat back
- Cobb catted DP with Cobb stage 2 at 11000 miles
- Rear diffuser painted
- "Cool It" heat wrap on turbo and DP

Pics will be posted and updated often (I hope).
And of course I have more plans than I have time or money for, but that's how it goes.

Any suggestions or comment please let me know. I'm still an STi rookie so please let me have it! Thanks!

I know how you felt back when the 02 wrx came out. I fell in love. The nearest subaru dealership was 45 min from where i lived. I drove there every weekend to drool all over the ones they had in stock. Finally, i said screw it and got one even though i probably couldn't really afford it. Two years later i sold that car to a friend and i sobbed like a baby hahaaa. After 2 motor swapped civics, a stupid dodge ram, and a s2000 i finally had to get back into a real car. I love my freaking STI, and this time i don't plan on ever getting out of the family again. Congrats on the car, and enjoy years of fun.
