i dont have the bung and washer for my egt probe so ill have to order that and go back to my friends so we can drill a hole and weld the egt bung on, then ill be all good to go.

im putting the dp and the top intercooler pipe back on tomorrow and getting her fired up again. ill top off my coolant when its warmed up but my battery wont hold a charge. its under warranty so i need to get it replaced also.
Looks allot better, but realize that now that it is welded with some mild steel wire, that area will rust. You can weld mild steel to SS but you have to use ER309 wire, I do it all the time.

i call keith at awdtuning and had to cancel my tune appt. i had him listen to my car and he said it was a backfire inside the motor before it had a chance to leave...or something like that. thats what he said the plunking/clack noise was. he said im running too lean.

i finally got the car to have an even idle today. i got my torque wrench and the manifold bolts that go to the block needed a little more tightening. after that i sprayed starter fluid on the inlet vacuum lines and they were all good. the inlet to turbo was leaking so i redid that clamp and got that fixed. i sprayed more on the intercooler couplers: turbo/ic, the next coupler after that and the throttle body/ic. all of them must have a leak cuz the car would rev up when i sprayed them individually.

i built a pressure tester and i found my leak. i had the pcv line pinched under the manifold so i was thinking it was running to something and i didnt know there was a nipple directly under the manifold. i got it all back together properly and im not hearing any more leaks. well, a minor one that is coming from a nipple on the inlet, a clamp will fix it though.

i got it from a guy named brian. he has a legacy. he got it from someone else though.
