Great lesson learned for all with the bung. Mig welding SS, you need a special wire, and gas, the std stuff dosent work so well. THe shop should have said hey man this is going to look like a blind guy with torrets welded it before they buzzed it on. Who cant tell the difference between mild steel and stainless good grief. Hope it dont leak, just rock it!

lol yall are too funny. i took it to my buddy today. we grinded down all the ugliness and surprisingly there were no bubbles/ air pockets. it looks sooooo much better now. ill take some pics tomorrow in the daylight and post the big difference.

i dont have the bung and washer for my egt probe so ill have to order that and go back to my friends so we can drill a hole and weld the egt bung on, then ill be all good to go.

im putting the dp and the top intercooler pipe back on tomorrow and getting her fired up again. ill top off my coolant when its warmed up but my battery wont hold a charge. its under warranty so i need to get it replaced also.

did you change injectors? If so you may want to change back, no need for 850s on a vf turbo unless your going e85...and I hope your not as your going to germany.

[QUOTE=armyssoldierboy;2718658]k well here are the better pics.

See you don't have to be a good welder just a good grinder LOL... I'm a welder and whoever did that definitely doesn't know how to weld. It would look real good TIG welded but I that guy can't run a MIG there no way he can TIG. It looked like he use steel wire so that might start to rust.

Well after spending a day looking for leaks and on the phone with people with schematics walking me through everything i couldn't find anything. I went to the store and got some starter fluid but i couldn't pin point where the leak was being that I couldn't get the rpms to stay still. I finally broke down and tore everything out again and what do I find......

I sure hope Cleo Bay Subaru has one in stock!

On a good note, what took me 16hrs to take off the first time (intake manifold) only took me 2hrs this time At least I can feel good I did in fact have everything hooked up right
