IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2007 | Not a "true" ts if it only has 1 wastegate.^ I wish I had something to trade for your wheels. Bad timing for me. |

| Spec C Club Feedback Score: 4 reviews | Thanks guys. I figure i'll give everyone another small update on the build... WELL... WHO KNEW Doing a custom turbo setup would lead to so many issues. Every day its something new. I love it. So does my tuner. A few weeks ago we were having an issue w/ the idle even though the car drove great once it was moving. We come to find out that the "tial Q" BOV that i picked up was not working properly and kept opening at idle causing the car to stumble and stall quite often (almost every time i stopped the car, or idled once warm). Went out and picked up a regular old school tial 50mm w/ a 12psi spring and that issue was solved. Awesome. We took the car out for a few drives to make any tuning changes necessary and the car seriously RIPS!. 1st gear as we all know is non-existant. Rolling into 2nd gear gives me nothing but tire spin all the way through, and the smell of flaming clutch once it gets to about 6000 rpm's, And in 3rd / 4th/ 5th the car is just a complete monster, very linear and i couldn't be happier. Lets jump to Wednesday of this week. I head over to MSPT to add the Cobb FFL and Launch Control map since the one issue i was having with the car is that it seems to fall on its face in between shifts. FFL would def. solve that, so we figured it'd be the best way to go. As i pulled into "MY" bay at the shop (car sat there for over 5 months... so now they call it "gregs bay") the air fuel gauge started going crazy. So about $150 later i had a new wide band 02 sensor and all is good again. SWEET. So we go to take the car out on the road and have some fun and all the sudden after starting it up, the idle goes crazy again. Air fuels are going back and forth between 11 and 16-ish. WTF could this be now. So after some inspection, we figure out that the Blitz Boost Control Solenoid is leaking. Yes, the solenoid itself is leaking. This really irked me because i wanted to have the car ready to go for the EFI dyno day saturday and sunday up in CT. Now thats out, so i hopped in the jeep and headed up to ct anyway. A quick phone call to rob at Fizz and i'll be shipping my Solenoid back to Blitz in CA this week for repair/replacement. Not a big deal, but that means wastegate pressure for about a week... So now i guess everyone is updated with whats going on with the car. Anyone care to make a guess on what is going to go next. With my luck it should happen next week. Personally i'd say clutch...but who knows. All sarcasm and bull**** aside, I need to thank Dave Brown and Gerry @ MSPT (mspt.net) for all the help, fab work, trouble shooting, swapping out parts, blood (literally), sweat, tears, late nights, dealing with phone calls from the wives (my favorite was a text from daves wife saying "Its 11pm, do you know where your husband is") and just in general being awesome guys. And to Rob @ Fizz for dealing w/ all my screaming and cursing when ever soemthing would happen and I'd have to order yet another part. And to Adam & Dustin @ No Limit Motorsports for also getting me whatever i needed ASAP and hooking me up on everything. Awesome guys. Heading out to EFI Dyno day now. Going to see if i can throw the jeep on for a few pulls. Have a good day guys. |

I suppose I'd rather just turn a UR twin scroll header and up pipe into a twin waste gate then deal with fitment issues and the price of full race. | |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2005 | I'd love to see what this setup put's down on the stock block you plain to run C16? or Meth injection on the stock block? Also idk about your car but I was getting serious compressor surge at mid throttle lift's with normal driving on the 12psi tial bov spring. The car simply doesn't put out enough Vac to support it. I witched up to a 11psi spring and it's perfect. I also had the open bov on idle issuse and it was due to my 9psi spring. Quote:
