Love your car man, good luck with your tune, what numbers are you thinking your going to put down? My friend has a similar setup to yours but is out of the game cause of a stupid punk driver at a car show hit his STi and broke his timing belt and did 9k damage to the body of his car. IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2007 | SOOOOOO... the machine shop I sent my block to F'd it all up... They bore and honed the cylinders over .040 and I now have a 101mm bore on my hands and a useless chunk of aluminum if I don't want to sleeve it. I originally asked them to clean, inspect and just give me a slight hone to clean up the cylinders. I supplied them with the Subaru specs and highlited the limits allowed. I finally had a day off after the 4th and used my new and expensive dial bore indicator on them to see how close they were to spec... I measured 3.965...... Way over spec of 3.9175 to 3.9179... A freaking 100mm bore is 3.937! Well time to save a few extra pay checks for some sleeves!!! |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2006 | Yikes!!! That doesn't sound like a small screw up from the way you've described it. I'm guessing that you haven't called them back asking how and why this happened. Man that really stinks! Best of luck figuring out which direction to go in next. Thats just terrible! |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2006 | Sorry to hear about the motor man. I would get them cover the costs of getting you a block to the specs that you had originally ask for. |
