| Spec C Club Feedback Score: 0 reviews | I bought the car brand new in March of 2007. I have a long list of stuff I have done, so bear with me as I build this and post all ECU logs (for tuning purposes), pics and stuff. This will be made so people can get an idea of what the stock limits are on an 07 STI and how to build it up after you break it. Gabe Update: Power mods when engine went(316 WHP, 352 WTQ): APS 65MM CAI Full TBE (Catless Agency Power D/P with SPT 3 inch catback) My modified XPT Stage 2 mapping (the failure was due to previous abuse and a casting flaw in the #3 piston compression ringland, not the map) LC1 perm WB w/ Red BD gauge Gaugepod.com a pillar pod Autometer boost gauge Done building engine (on breakin tune): Homebrew block with forged and ceramic coated CP pistons TD05 20G 8CM^2 Turbo 08 STI TMIC Snow performance meth kit (need to get safe injection still, but I have a safegaurd solenoid for low level indicator), plan on getting the digital controller and safeinjection from Labonte 750CC DW injectors (balanced well) WB Fuel pump Gates timing belt Samco turbo inlet pipe Samco MAF tube Samco radiator hoses Samco IC hoses TXS dual catch cans Grainger BCS TBolt clamps TGV weldless deletes ( Weldless TGV Delete Kit - '07+) Smog pump delete ( Subaru WRX/STI Air Pump Delete - Driver Side Block-Off Plate) Update (2/16/2009, 393 WHP, 398 WTQ aggressive tune): SRS 3 inch CBE Meth tuned @ 22 PSI peak taper to 19 PSI @ 7k Detuned ~20WHP for street use @ 370 WHP, 370 WTQ with meth on Engine has 10k on it since rebuild, runs great, now running for longer than the stock block with more abuse Other mods:Whiteline rear sway with endlinks set to full hard Whiteline front sway with endlinks Kenwood DPX701 Head unit with G-Meter Update (12/24/2009); breaking 400WHP on a 20G: SSAC FMIC (black) Forge Motorsports WG actuator AP Fuel rails APS hard inlet GS Xover pipe Nvidia Uppipe Mishimoto radiator and t-stat Khumo XS tires Running E85 instead of Meth now Need to finish tuning on E85 for ~420 WHP (did 390 with the WG leaking on E85, low boost) Update (2/12/2010); breaking 400WHP on a 20G: With the new radiator installed, Forge actuator at spring pressure, I am right at 400 WHP on average running failsafe SD (no MAF). Need to up the fuel pressure and boost to get ~420/420 with a nice flat curve. Here is the average as of now: Future: 35R Rotated. 40R if I get cams. IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2005 | Good luck with your build...I am particularly interested to see how the 08 STI intercooler performs for you. Do you think you will have issues maxing out the stock MAF with the APS 65mm? Any thoughts of going with the 70mm instead? |
