Thanks man. The engine is running great. I had initially started it with regular coolant (40/60 mix) and coolant temps would go up to 207 or so idling. I added redline water wetter and I get rock solid coolant temps at 190 now. Also, I used 10w30 castrol on the initial startup and it burnt off some of it. Switched to Shell RotellaT 15w40 and took it out for a drive. Engine runs good. No smoking (except from the exhaust wrap lol) and it sounds good. I have two issues to figure out. I am getting full assist only with my power steering. IIRC, the power steering pump has two connectors. One single wire and one with more than one wire. I think I forgot to hookup the one with more than one wire. Feels like I am driving a 1975 plymouth or something (steering feel). The other issue is the MAP sensor or air pressure sensor. It is reading (relative) -15 to -16 inches of vacuum at idle where my defi boost gauge shows -18 to -20. When I took it out, the logger is only showing I was hitting 1PSI. Well, not according to my BPV and boost gauge. I am able to hit WG boost at 3k rpm. 2.0 engine load. That won't occur at 1PSI. At least I know my MAF is working.

I vote lake. I don't have to clean and there are some twisties from our house to Arkansas Bend. The park has also got a little island that only AWD and 4x4 vehicles can make it to. It would be fun to take over the island with a bunch of Subaru's.

Yeah that was what I was thinking. We could meet up the HEB by our house as that is the start of the twisties.

Ok, so Bill (Merchgod) answered my MAP sensor question. My atmospheric pressure sensor is sitting on the garage floor inside my airpump which is used in determining relative pressure. LOL.

Now I just need to make sure that I only missed a connector on the power steering pump and did not screw it up somehow. It can't be bad because I am getting too much assist (full assist).

Thanks. It is good to have it running again. Now I just have to figure out what is wrong with my power steering.

I drove the car to work this morning. Power steering is almost ironed out (variable assist is working, it is still a little "twitchy" around low speed turns). Engine is running good for the rough startup tune I have on it. Just need to adjust a few fueling items to make it run smoother. It is very close though. I must charge the AC tonight! Ugh. Also, I still have to rip that Air pressure sensor out of the Air pump and install it.

I stopped at the gas station and saw water under the car! I freaked for a bit, then realized I had just drove through a puddle. LOL.
