PM'd you with firmware info, its very easy to do, just read through the instuctions step by step make sure you load the correct stuff onto the AP and its fool proof.

yeah, whenever i reflash i take it out country road in 4th at like 1500 rpm and floor it and take it up a little, this lets it fine tune the parameters (kinda) and it will be better. i think the sluggish throttle is due to your cats though GL with the firmware.

Did a little canyon carving up to Boulder Falls tonight. Took a pic of the falls, below the falls, and an interesting find in the water.... All done on a camera phone... enjoy

Started turbo research again tonight....
my question here is geared toward getting ready for the turbo.....
1)Like what gauges people suggest running / like running for upgraded turbos (going to be Defi)
2)what kinda wideband systems are available, best bang for buck or highest quality?
3)What are the NEEDED mods along w/ the popular mods that people do for a rotated 30

I did alot of searching again, read through 90% of the threads in Modaddict's big thread consisting of the end all be all 30/35R threads..... alot of repetitive info, but alot of good info as well....
Thanks all

Also put the above pics in one of the reserved slots on page 1

I will start and give you an hand on some of the things I know.

First ask your tuner. Thats the only thing he asked me is "do I have any gauges". I was going to get boost and wideband until my tuner told me I should get EGT instead of the wideband. I asked him why and he told me he use his own program for wideband. EGT will give him another point of reference. So please make sure what your tuner want first. Lucky I didnt get an wideband.

Im not sure about Defi cause they are really expensive. Maybe they are really accurate or something but I bought STRI instead. You might want to take a look on that.

Also when you buy supporting mods. Make sure you check in with ImportImage. Ask them on PM. They will give out better discount. They sure gave me a really good deal.

Thats all I know so I will let other people to chime in.

I'll check out importimage for sure when im buying miscellaneous mods.... as for the gauges, Defi is expensive, but i had em once and they were awesome, no point in buying anything that wont meet my expectations.....

After looking what was available i dont think i needed to ask about what gauges... it will probably be:
Boost
Oil Pressure
EGT
Maybe Oil Temp
and definitely my own wideband... i like to monitor things
Also, im still up in the air between DIY install / I-SPEED tune.... if i go through I-SPEED all the tuning is done VIA email...
You install the ECUtek software they send you that has datalogging software... do some WOT pulls and email what you logged....

Im sure Modaddict can elaborate more since he tuned his CP35R using I-Speed

Just follow my build.

look for my journal for gauges, also

You've pretty much summed it up on the tuning. The major tuners are doing this.................all over the world, might I add

Journal hasn't had much talk in a couple days. Just curious, does anyone wanna venture a guess as to what i found in the river? two or three posts up, bottom pic.... i havent a clue....

Found a really, really, REALLY annoying squeek today coming from (what i assume to be, but haven't checked yet) the new bushings in the kartboy lever.... it creaks SO bad between gear changes... i guess i didn't lube it up enough so maybe now, or sometime soon i'll tackle that to get rid of the squeek hopefully.....

Also now that im Cobb Stage 1 and my accessport is on its way to Utah for new dongle hardware, i started a little spreadsheet to list upcoming mods such as gauges and the turbo and such... and everything in between...

Also might or might not have some $$ issues as of late (not really my fault... gotta do some investigating...) so mods might be on hold, even though i was really wantin to get some Defis in the car before too long
