Hey I'm moving to Boulder in the Fall, I'm going to attend CU!!! Just wanted to see who everything is going out there. And by the way my car is tuned by Bill from I-SPEED and my car will not be tuned by another person PERIOD. I have there exhaust and tune and my car made around 280 whp and 300 lbs/trq. If you deal with Crawford you will have no regrets.

I use GC-30 Castrol Syntec European Formula SAE 0W-30 it should say made in germany you can find it at AutoZone.
Already put the mobil 1 in. So far so good. I'll probably just stick to it.... I came to find out that my dad has like 30 quarts of the mobil 1 5w30 in the garage / at his work, so i can just keep using that till it runs dry

Hey, i saw your car and was wondering your mods in another thread.... I saw your sig and was very intrigued.... im still debating what im gonna do for a shop / tuner.... i'd love to install the turbo myself and get it tuned by I-Speed... I'll just tackle that problem when it comes... no worries, good to hear from everyone... we ought to have an IWSTI meet like the pirates do

I'm down, just gotta figure out a date/time. Btw, not sure if you know but Boulder pirates meet almost every Thursdays on top the parking garage across the street from Illegal Petes on Pearl Street.

Well when I move out there I'm down to chill with some SUBIE people. As far as the entire tuning thing, I would personally go with just a stage 2 car, then later down the road go crazy and do the GT30r that they sell.

I dunno what i wanna do yet.... im still up in the air, but it seems pointless to spend the money on a downpipe and tune when im saving for a turbo kit.... debating whether or not i should pick up my accessport tomorrow from one of the local dealerships...

Im in colorado and am on pirates, the majority of people post on pirates are pricks and they never go to the meets. Of the 8,000 members on there, only about 50 consistently post, the rest of them just use the site to arrange meets and sell parts. You are better off coming here for any tech advice(IWSTI is alot better ) if you ask them for help you will just get E-Thuged for not knowing the answer.

You should watch the site for meets and go to one, you will see that the people who actually attend are pretty cool. I dont post on the site much but attend alot of meets, which is what the majority of AWD enthusiasts in colorado do.

Hope to see you around at some of the meets.

Sounds good, and i dont frequent the site because of the reason you stated... the majority are E-thuggin pricks and i only used the site one or 2 times to sell my old accessport and try to find a wingless trunk.... i dont ever surf around there, so if theres a meet comin up, post in my journal

Default Re: Bishop's STi - Boulder, CO - Cobb Stg 1

Just bought an accessport from Super Rupair and installed it in the parking lot, with the help and thanks to Ryan. I'm super glad i went to super instead of the dealership, it saved me $25 AND i got to talk to / find out Ryan is Super's in-house tuner now that Harvey is doing his own thing.

Basically my faith is renewed in Super and getting tuned at 16
psi.... It may not seem like alot, but I didnt factor in that were a mile above sea level, so of course the boost seems low. He was very knowledgeable, very friendly and very helpful... Chatted a bit about turbos as well... Him and Harvey tune the same way, as well as Revolutions Performance he said, and he charges $30 bucks less an hour than Harvey... so now i dont have to drive 2 hours to Revolutions if i would like to have Ryan tune my car

He had a bugeye there ATM getting what looked to be the full treatment suspension wise minus coils.... sways, braces, springs, larger pot subaru brakes.... looked fun....

Considering stg 2 tuned if i can find a deal for a catted downpipe, if not im happy the way things are

Just a couple questions..... The throttle response is pretty bad now, is that just the car learning?... It also doesnt hold RPM between shifts very well, normal for now?... (this was just driving like, 5 miles maybe, maybe more or less....)
Also, it needs firmware updates BAD... how easy is it to do? do i need to reflash afterward or what

EDIT: After driving around a bit tonight, the throttle response is still a tad slow, but the ride is SO much smoother.... going between gears is now cake, and theres no more buck if i let off the throttle and stay in gear....
Going to call Cobb asap and get the skinny on my firmware situation
