IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2004 | hey, yup i took it out this year for another test with Frank from Four Star, and we had another engine problem, where getting bubbles in the rad . it was running amazing for about 1/2 the day. we came back from lunch and went out for a few laps and the rad just started to PUKE all over. it got all over the tire and we all most went off. so 4 star is going to pull the engine again and re-build everything so next year I'll have a full season of Solo Sprint and GT sprints, cross my fingers. As for when it was running WOW! it's f'ing fast now. the test and tune we where at was with 1/2 novice drivers in street cars and my time in a ton of traffic with only 3 passing zones in a 2.4mile track where faster then last year. I'm only getting 245-250km/h on the back straight tho b/c #1 6th gear SUCKS BALLS and #2 i have so down force with the splitter and canards holds back the car. After we get a new 5 and 6 gear it should be good. Frank has some connections with Kapps, so a new sequential gear box is might be one of the only things i change for next year. i have a feeling I'm going to put the GT35R in for the year after. I'll post up a Dyno later, i have to get Frank to print one off. Last edited by kwlsti; 10-31-2008 at 06:04 AM.. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2004 | maybe, one of the studs had backed off a bit to 68ft/lbs. we don't really know why, but we made some torque plates up so it shouldn't happen again. we also found a bent valve but that looks like it was after the heads where taken apart, drop on the ground maybe. I'll put up an update one whats happening, not too much this year. i just want to compete a whole season. Last edited by kwlsti; 03-31-2009 at 10:39 AM.. |
