Oil temp - with a TINY off the shelf sender (of course then I need to fine another galley plug to pop.)

G-Meter (one screen - axis with peak - acceleration/braking on and one screen lateral on line.) I like peak hold values for this - of course this is almost a data acquisition module...

I would not like ECU splicing - ODBII would be cool, but you shot that down
temp gauges will be there...i think ambient (think ic/intake/ambient/etc.) will be first. Oil may be later...but will function exactly the same, just come in a bolt in format. As far as a portable gauge for you to hop out of the car with in between autox runs...that would be essentially the same thing but with a longer wire.

boost ref ic is later...boost first then ic spray later

g-meter is set...changing this display is a preference thing

OBD II and ecu splicing is completely nixed.

I think you will have 3 different senders for the temps so a simple bolt in would likely have distinct programming...

I like the second display versus the one you chose for your alpha run.

3 senders...

actually 2 - 1) does all the stuff from ic temps to ambient temps to whatever and works based on resistance 2) a generic oil temp sender in galley plug form.

The programming should be the same. The circuit will be slightly different. Different resistors to "scale" the signal to 0-5V.

I was thinking the "portable" one maybe different also since it would not normally be something you have a probe interface for.

Why not just buy a laser thermometer for the tires/brakes?

BTW why is your title "less than or equal to some set denoted by the double-cross symbol"

Meridock...if one wanted to one could have it attached to a longer wire...I'll leave it at that.

The biggest consideration with a temp sensor is 1st what range does it operate over and 2nd what form factor is it.
