Spent a lot of time coding this week.

The timer section works. Has two lap times, etc.

The performance meter is something i'm struggling with. Getting a non-fudged hp rating is not easy (esp when you can't use floating point #'s...grr lang developers). Right now i'm thinking of showing your 0-60 time and doing a virtual drag strip thing with ET and Trap Speed. But that might encourage racing up and down the street so i dunno.

No, no updates. Sorry guys, I've been busy. The code is 100% complete for the lap timer and 90% complete for the performance meter part. I'm probably going to do 0-60 and 1/4 mile time.

You might hear an update from me sometime next week. Either and "aha it worked" and maybe a video or a "oh crud I have extra work to do to make it perfect"

If you need a camera man - I have a good road we can take and a decent DV camera.

I lied...I haven't gotten anything done on this in a while.

Some thoughts though:
-I came up with a generic function for displaying a digital number and analog number and label for any analog sensor. What does this mean? It'll be easier to later add sensors. All that will be needed is the mapping of voltages to values...a title...a scale factor...and a label.
-buttons are still not installed...boo...
-I think I'm going to package the unit in multiple enclosures. A large enclosure one will have the "brain" and have plug in's for the sensors which will be housed in their own enclosures (in the case of the accelerometer) or wire up to senders. The screen will be a separate box unto itself so (if i sell a couple) people want a screen and buttons in a nice little box they can have that but if they want a naked screen/ naked buttons to custom install anywhere they can have that too. Now I have to find better enclosures (clear acrylic isn't that hot looking...I think a black box would be better.)

Sounds like an idea. Makes it easier for custom mounting to have those separate enclosures.

NOW JUST FINISH IT!
