Is there a way to get the chime to come back?? Not that I really want to but I am curious.

I'm assuming disconnecting the battery will do it, but is there any other way??

Disconnecting battery.....I know that does it. Unsure of anything else.

However, when you have an aftermarket harness that you use on the track you don't want the seatbelt chiming to tell you to buckle up. There has to be a way to cut a wire or something. I just installed a new lightweight battery and its back! Blah I gotta do this asap.
I tried the buckle/unbuckle thing and it didn't work. I just went under the seat and disconnected the harness and haven't had any problems since (did it about 1.5 years ago)

seatbelt trick works.
easiest way to do it is to press and hold the release button and just shove the clip in and out 20 times (immediately after turning the key to the ON position)

Your car is a defect and must be packaged and sent back to Japan!! I can't believe this keeps happening! Just kidding .
When you start the car and are sitting in the seat without your seatbelt on, the car doesn't have a repetitive chime that goes on and off for 30 second intervals? It is definitely supposed to do that. If not, you lucked out!

It worked the other day on my '07. That thing was driving me absolutely nuts... Now i can ride in peace, but of course I always wear my seatbelt. The first few times it did not work though. It only works within the first 30 seconds of the car being in accessory. I did not realize that it had to be within the first 30 seconds. But enjoy everyone who uses this strange technique.

I have Brides and my "buckle" isn't connected to anything so it doesn't ding.
